  1. Pretty much, yeah, considering the Cubs have had some hard hit balls right at people and that haven't dropped for hits.
  2. Rich Poythress. He's been hot hot hot with the bat, but he doesn't sound like the kind of guy this team would go for given his limited tools elsewhere. It'd be like the whole Travis Snider thing all over again.
  3. *Leafs through 2009 MLB draft publications to see if there are any worthwhile college 1Bs out there*
  4. I hate seeing the Cubs do nothing with these meatball pitches.
  5. Maybe Lee needs a few days off or something.
  6. Larkin's one of the more underrated players of the past 20 years.
  7. I'm surprised he wasn't called for the balk there.
  8. Everyone was waiting for him to break his bat over his knee. Heh.
  9. I'm slightly pissed off after last night, so help calm me down, Cobs.
  10. Geovany Soto would have ridden pine in favor of Jason Kendall. Murton probably would not have played as much in favor of Floyd and Jock. Think that'd be enough for the Cubs to have missed the playoffs?

  12. It's a song that has been around for years. Wikipedia is your friend.
  13. I'll just settle for a meaningless run in the 9th.
  14. The better question is how long it would take you to get a HR if you had the derby at 2B rather than home plate.
