  1. It might be one of those LaTroy Hawkins kinds of things where Gregg is really unreliable when given a one run lead, but when he has more than a one run lead, he does very well.
  2. Coleman rebounded tonight after two straight blah outings, going 6 scoreless and giving up 2 hits, 3 walks, and striking out. Tennessee still managed to lose 1-0. Bummer.
  3. I think part of it was a cold weather thing. I remember Lou talking about the cold having an effect on Gregg's hip, so with warmer weather, it might not be as much of an issue.
  4. Now get Heilman out of there. Preferably through use of a catapult.
  5. Someone forgot to get Lou his medication today. Again.
  6. You know, between Neil Cotts and Aaron Heilman, I wish the Cubs had kept Garrett Olson.

  8. There's also the whole sexual assault thing. That tends to put a damper on a player's reputation.
  9. Might want to double check the positions you've listed, Fred. :D
  10. It makes sense. Iowa will be in Salt Lake City, Tennessee will be in Chattanooga, and Daytona will be in Clearwater and Dunedin. Beloit's the closest option this weekend.
  11. That'll be in Beloit this weekend.
  12. With the Cubs scheduled to be at home at that time, I'm guessing Z will rehab with the Chiefs, who will be playing up in Beloit this weekend.
  13. Definitely not something you see every day.

  15. How many Instant Classics have Chicago teams seen in the playoffs so far this season? This is just a crazy year.
  16. KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE!
  17. IF Kyle Reynolds and RHP Blake Parker promoted from Tennessee to Iowa. 1B Ryan Keedy and OF Francisco Guzman promoted from extended spring training to Daytona. Had to look up Guzman. 21 year old who put up decent, but not particularly noteworthy numbers in the DSL last season. Profile. I expected Keedy to start the season in Peoria or Daytona, so it's good to see him moved up. I was vaguely hoping the Cubs would have promoted Ridling to Daytona over him, but ah well.
  18. I'd go, but I have a final at 8:30 AM. :banghead: I'm thinking of dropping in on Thursday or Friday. Final at 8 30 you could still make it to the 2nd game. Im trying to find someone to go with, but it sucks when all your friends are actually working while Im laid off ha. Tempting, but I got another final Wednesday morning and will need to get myself in gear to study for it. Plus I have a take home final due by Friday that I want to be done with by Thursday. Guh.

  20. The Chiefs' web site doesn't show a specific scheduled starting time for Game 2. That makes me think it's probably a straight doubleheader rather than a day-night. I don't think I've ever seen a day-night DH in the time I've been following the Cubs' minor leaguers.
  21. For Milwaukee County Stadium... Link Hank Aaron hit a walkoff two run home run against the St. Louis Cardinals to win the NL Pennant.
