What's the general feeling on Kentrail Davis? He was probably the most talented player at UT this year, but I had no idea how he was viewed nationally. Why do you think he'll be a tough sign? As a draft eligible sophomore, he's got plenty of chances to go back and try to up his stock if he doesn't feel he's getting paid like he should... which he probably wont be, given his performance this season. Reportedly the Brewers had worked out a pre-draft deal with someone who was a signability question. Considering Arnett doesn't have those questions, they may have worked something out with Davis.

Recent signings Jackson got over slot at $90,000 as a 9th rounder. Sean Gallagher had something like a $60,000 bonus as a 12th rounder.

the bad news is they'll be guys like huseby, rundle and logan watkins who aren't really that good. They could also be guys like Jay Jackson and Sean Gallagher.

On the upside, assuming Jackson signs for slot, this should mean the Cubs are going to be targeting guys dropping due to signability concerns in later rounds.
