  1. I posted about it earlier in the thread. There's nothing stopping the White Sox from making him a PTBNL in the deal.
  2. DAT CAT IS CRAZY
  3. Seriously? I wonder if this means he's not explicitly in the deal, but could be selected from among a group of prospects as a PTBNL. No one's leaked the names the White Sox are offering yet. I'd be stunned if Beckham wasn't part of the deal. Poreda and Richard have been two names thrown around, but all of this information is coming from two sources I have my reasons to doubt (Gammons and Levine). Without more details, it's really hard to evaluate this trade. If it's just Poreda, Richard, and two Low A throw ins, this deal makes no sense from the Padres' end.

  5. It's not just about throwing out runners. Fox is very poor when it comes to things like calling games, blocking pitches in the dirt, and so on. He recently caught in-game again and had 2 passed balls to his name.
  6. Vinny Del Negro is texting him as we speak.
  7. Word is the players traded are Poreda, Richard, and two PTBNLs. I'm guessing one of those PTBNLs is Gordon Beckham. The other one might be someone like Dan Hudson.
  8. Yesterday's series of pitchouts was a managerial masterpiece.
  9. Starting tomorrow, Tennessee begins what has to be one of the worst stretches of games I've ever seen any team at any level undergo. From May 22nd to May 29th, Tennessee will play 12 games as a result of four double headers. What's worse is the fact that their next day off is June 10th. In other words, prepare to see a ton of pitcher movement in the next few days to accommodate Tennessee's rotation and bullpen needs.

  11. I'm debating whether Lou's over-thinking is any worse than Dusty Baker's over-thinking. Or, rather, lack of thinking instead of over-thinking for both.
  12. Wouldn't have gotten it, imo. STOP GIVING THEM PITCHOUTS YOU FREAKING IDIOT.
  13. That's partly on Theriot for not getting in position for the wheel play, but it would have been a footrace to the bag for him if he was in position to do it.
  14. Quick BFIB, give Pujols a standing ovation by attempting to break up the DP by trying to break Theriot's leg!
  15. Ah yes, the old "Maybe if I look angry enough, people will forget that at bat was my fault" look. Always a pleasure.
  16. That 91 mph meatball down the middle got an awesome swing out of Milton.
  17. BA also posted their Daily Dish on Vitters today. Some quotes that people will love...
  18. Someone tell him to stop emailing Carlos Zambrano.
  19. Turner's been skyrocketing up the boards with his performances lately. Hitting 98 and striking out more than 2 batters an inning is quite the feat for someone his age. Link
