  1. And losing it, with the man who should be our closer shutting us down, would be equally morale crushing. Nah. The fact that the Cubs didn't lie down and die when down 7-0 is a good sign. I can't complain about this game too much, regardless of the result.
  2. If I was superstitious this post would make me nervous Nervous about this game or about the season?
  3. Jake Fox has been surprisingly not terrible at 3B today.
  4. Come to think of it, Len's line about seagulls keeping game schedules in their billfold would make Fred shake his head. :D
  5. Have they started talking about Ron's cat or waterproof khakis yet?
  6. Needless to say, I'm impressed with the ump for getting that call right.
  7. Terrible call at 2B. ...okay, maybe not on the replay.
  8. Was the organist just playing Benny and the Jets?
  9. Rest assured, Marquis would be doing just as bad as Harden right now if he were still a Cub.
  10. The crowd's response pretty much verified that immediately off the bat. Gee Rich, you're having an awesome day. Keep it up!
  11. Well, this is a fun way to come out after yesterday's big comeback win.
  12. The field is a mess. The groundscrew are taking care of it as we speak.
  13. So their rain delay programming would be the game where Willie Mays Hayes scored from 2nd on a bunt?
  14. I think last year had a bunch of people's top five ever. This one and the Rockies game were epic. I don't think any game will ever top the Mongo Game in the past 10 years, though. That was probably the craziest game I've ever seen. I'd also throw the 2004 11-10 victory over the Reds in 2004 that ended with Sosa and Alou going back to back into the pile. Yeah, the Mongo game was my favorite Cubs game memory I think. There were a few games in against the Brewers in 98 that I remember. That 2004 Reds game I went to sleep because the Cubs were down by 5 and I thought they were going to lose. If we're going back to 1998, my all-time favorite game is the 20 K game, no questions asked. Let's see what else was there...the Michael Barrett double against the Athletics in 2004, Z's no-no last year, Ryan O'Malley's 8 inning miracle against the Astros in 2006...
