    He was doing that while he was on the Cubs as well. Don't remember that. I know he did a lot of stuff with the Desipio kiddies, though, so it's not particularly surprising.

    He was a first rounder a few years ago, so it's not like he's bereft of talent. I think he had some hiccups in the minors due to injuries.

    This isn't baseball, contracts aren't guaranteed. He doesn't see a dime of the 2nd year money unless he's on the roster on opening day September 2010. They don't owe him anything if they release him. Don't they take a cap hit if they release him, though?

    As memory serves me, he started off similarly slow in the MWL, followed by a streak of singles and sporadic doubles, followed by him tearing the cover off the ball for a month. I'm guessing it's been a bit of a pain for him to adjust to the FSL thanks to the rain outs and hand injury, but hopefully he can finish the season on a positive note.
