    Daytona played 135 games, so they would need 45 IP, meaning neither should qualify (42 IP for Cashner, 38.3 IP for Jackson). It's pretty much a down season, from what I remember about the FSL this season. His main competition will likely be Austin Romine, Caleb Gindl, and Ben Revere, but considering how much BA loves international SS prospects who are young for their league (see: Hak-Ju Lee) and the fact that they gushed over him during the Futures Game, I think he has a very good chance of taking the top spot in the league.

    If the Tigers win, what do they do with Porcello? He's already at a spot in terms of his IP where it would be wise to shut him down. However, their rotation isn't all that deep.

    This gets posted tomorrow. Some random predictions for Cubs... Starlin Castro gets the #1 spot Josh Vitters gets in around #15 Ryan Searle probably won't make the list, but he'll get a mention in the chat as being promising. Chris Carpenter won't make the list since he did not pitch in the FSL for long, but he'll be mentioned favorably in the chat.

    Andy Seiler, who seems to have a pretty good handle on the MLB Draft based on his postings on Sickels' site and on his own blog, just posted his first 2010 Mock Draft. Don't quite agree with his interpretation of the Cubs' drafting philosophy, but hey, it's early.

    He wrote a series of columns for Yahoo that heavily advocated sacrifice bunting, hits and runs, and ripped on a variety of statistics. I don't know how that will affect his skills as a hitting instructor, but I'm guessing this team is going to work on a whole lotta bunting next season if he's the hitting coach. Man, those yahoo columns were [expletive] brutal. I wonder if they are archived? The column's title was Making Contact, but a cursory Google search doesn't turn up much.

    To me, it looks like he's had trouble breaking contact and hitting holes the same way he did last season. I'm still glad to have him on the Bears, but after the workload he had last season, I am a bit concerned about him. Also, lol Culpepper.

    Yeah, because it's all been on Forte and nothing to do with the terrible o-line. I think Barry Sanders would struggle to gain yards with this O-line. He would, but it seems like Forte's lost a bit this season. We'll see how he looks as the season goes on.
