  1. He actually had two major injuries this season. The first was Tommy John, which he had in the offseason and, apparently, he was slow to recover from it. There were some questions about how much it affected his performance last season, although it's unclear about how much it affected him and what parts of his game were affected. The second injury was a head-on collision back around April/May, where he and Daytona OF Tony Campana collided in the outfield. Both had to go to the hospital, with Colvin taking the worst of the impact. I believe he sustained a rather serious concussion from that collision. So, my gut is that it took him some time to fully recover from both injuries.
  2. Is that what instilled all that narcissistic sarcasm in you? :P i don't think narcissistic means what you want it to mean. http://agileproductdesign.com/blog/images/inigo.jpg
  3. Im never right, so even if this is being discussed, im pretty excited I said before it was even mentioned. I much rather give Colvin a shot in CF with Fuku going to right, instead of signing another "veteran" player. Colvin needs more time in the minors. I'm happy for his production since his callup, but he could stand to work on a few more things in AAA before the Cubs hand him the CF job on a silver platter. Signing Cameron to a one year deal would be a really good idea, imo.
  4. Latissimus dorsi
  5. Do you use Firefox? Adblock is awesome for blocking that sort of stuff.
  6. Give teams time to get the book on him. We'll see how he looks once teams adjust to him.
  7. Andorra? Maybe I'll defect. Well if someone hits a home run in Andorra it's likely to end up in a different country. 8-) It probably won't happen, since Andorra isn't listed on the Confederation of European Baseball website, which suggests no baseball is played there. http://www.theonion.com/content/video/nation_of_andorra_not_in_africa Well, to be fair, it is now a war-torn region. 8. Aroldis Chapman is soon to be a FA. Link
  9. This could be another Juan Uribe incident, but still, the allegations in and of themselves are pretty damn crazy.
  10. If we're looking at low budget teams who are usually willing to deal top names before they become expensive, Jason Kubel might be an option. He's due to be paid $4.1m next season and has a club option for 2011 worth $5.25m. He'd cost an arm and a leg, but the Twins might be willing to sell high on him.
  11. What a horrifically unlucky bounce for the Cowboys. :nutkick:

  13. I can see the Cubs moving Fukudome to RF and doing something absolutely asinine like getting Chone Figgins for CF.
  14. Jerry Jones: Diggin' for gold!
  15. Michigan State should be a good test to determine if Wisconsin actually is any good this year. Northern Illinois and Fresno State have looked halfway decent this season, but it's hard to get a reliable measure of how good the Badgers actually are without having them go up against Big Ten teams.
  16. GWB and John Madden sitting next to one another. I feel like this game is the first step in the apocalypse.
  17. My name is Jerry Jones, king of kings: Look on my works, ye asswipes, and despair!
  18. Let this abomination unto the Lord commence!
  19. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHA! JERRY JONES IS EXCITED!
  20. How does a quarterback, of all people, walk into that? You'd think pocket presence would translate better He was lost in his own sulking. sure if he was sulking after calling the time out for the game winning fg *shrug* Never underestimate the power of emo.

  22. Sweet, Chicago gets the Baltimore/San Diego game.
