    Huh, apparently the MWL is expanding to 16 teams next season. A quick Google search has one team in Ohio and the other out in Bowling Green, KY.

    No kidding. Not really, the Twins were always mentioned as the second most interested team behind the Pirates. But they've never been big spenders in the international market, either.

    I have a strange feeling BA will be heaping tons of praise on Starlin Castro and Hak-Ju Lee over the coming days. Both strike me as the kinds of guys BA writers tend to fall in love with (international signings, young, tools out the wazoo, good defensive reputations, etc.). I think Starlin has a very good chance to be a top 50 prospect for BA. I personally don't think he's that good, but BA loves toolsy shortstops who are young for their league. Last year Andrus was #37, and he put up similar numbers, although he was in AA the entire year compared to Castro. And tools-wise, they're pretty similar, with a little bit of an speed/defensive edge to Andrus and a little bit of a power edge to Castro. Also Alcides Escobar was #19, and he's the worst offensively of the 3 and the oldest. Although that might not be a fair comparison since apparently Escobar is a crazy good defensive shortstop. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised to see them name Castro the Cubs' top prospect with Hak-Ju Lee cracking their Top 100 and getting the #3 spot in the Cubs' rankings.

    I love 10am West Coast games :D This is how Bears football is supposed to be. Wake up hungover, turn the TV on, and have the Bears game starting. I'm already awake. It's just that Sunday is our designated pickup basketball morning. We don't finish till 11 so I generally get in with a few minutes left in the first half. You need to invest in DVR.

    Actually, from a statistical standpoint, QB rating is pretty poor when used on its own to evaluate how good a QB is. There are a lot of holes in its calculation.

"Favre is washed up" "Favre isnt even a upgrade over Jackson or Sage" "Favre will hurt the Vikings more then help" "Favre is coming off a injury" God I hate Favre. but I hate him for different reasons, the guy can still play. Im glad we have Rodgers and im glad we moved on but other fans saying "well he is not even that good" just got a big serving of crow. Bring this up again in Week 17 and we'll see about that.

    I think Jehrico was more getting at the fact that a very large number of people thought Colvin was a reach at the time he was drafted.

    They said Kirk would have ranked high on the Top 20 had he logged enough innings. :-k Given that their chats are no longer open to non-subscribers, anyone care to ask them about Kirk and Burruel for me? I'm curious about how both of them looked.
