Has Amaya thrown out a basestealer this year? I'm shocked they didn't send Frelick in that at-bat.
-
Now he will steal second. They will get a bloop single and tie the game. This has become far too predictable.
-
Well now I have no faith in anything good happening. Great job Ben. Sorry in advance.
-
Solidly struck. Bad luck for Seiya.
-
That play was nervewracking mostly because I don't know if the Cubs can score another run tonight.
-
Uffda that is dismal. I guess I should have been more specific and said Cubs teams but your point is noted. We have a juggernaut of an offense!
-
Is it a hitting philosophy thing or a poor talent acquisition thing? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a team with this low of a cumulative BA ever.
-
Correct.
-
Fire Madrigal into the sun please. He provides literally nothing to this team despite his ESPN hype.
-
Irritated that Bryan Hudson became a somebody not with the Cubs.
-
Never thought he was LHP, always thought he was more of a dickish ump. Glad to see they are going to make him work to get to the bigs though.

I thought Mastro was faster than that. It felt like it took a minute for the ball to get to Cruz. Please can we be done with the Mastro experiment?
-
Hanging curve in the zone and just whiffed for strike 3. That is emblematic of this team's offensive woes currently.
-
I wouldn't worry about having to do that anytime soon.
-
High pitch count in the first inning. Not a good sign. Hope Ben Brown and Tyson Miller are ready for today's action.
-
Ugh, that is bleak. I would take Jose Nieves and Chad Meyers over this infield any day.
-
Lucky as lucky could get there.
-
I have a bad feeling about this one.
-
Connor or Erik?

horsefeathers Cubes.
-
Wow. I am in utter disbelief.
-
Does Madrigal bunt here? I hope so.
-
Not a single hitter looks like they are engaged at the moment. Super depressing to watch.

That is a rough May, no doubt. It was less about extra credit and more a nod to he still has potential to improve vs. what Mastro (the likely finished product) is at this point. I'm not saying I love either option and wish Swanson and Hoerner were healthy.
