    Ya know, Maybe if hte game is rained out, that will give hendry the time to fire baker without us having to lose again.

    I find it very frustrating, and infuriating, that despite all of the evidence to the contrary, Macias is a Cub, and Perez is still batting lead-off. Apparently, Baker does not like Hairston. Regardless, you have to put your team in the best position to win, and he refuses to do that. Why? Because he is stubborn - plain and simple. I cannot think of any other logical explanation. Lineup, IMO, should be: Hairston Walker Lee Ramirez Burnitz Barrett Hollandsworth/Dubois Perez Pitcher If Lee is sitting due to injury, both Dubois and Hollandsworth play, and you move everybody up one spot, and bat them six and seven. This is a real simple thing to do that will put your team in a better position to succeed, but Baker won't do it. Neifi shouldnt even play. Play Cedeno.

    No, my avatar is of tupac. My signature is in support of firing dusty. Who ISNT In support of firing him. Not many. I find your tone very offensive. The reason NSBB is such a great site is because we are verry well moderated, I was just giving you a heads up that your tone/mood is not very highly looked upon, and should you like to have an extended stay here, it would probably be in your best interests to not make cracks about other posters.

    That's what I was gonna say. The writer is describing Carlos Zambrano to a tee. Young powerful pitcher who adds life to the clubhouse... I think I'd do Zambrano for Abreu straight up. Statistically speaking, I'd probably do it. Unfortunatley, I <3 Z. If it was up to me, my attatchment to the awesomeness Z brings to the table would keep me from doing the deal. you'd grow to love abreu and his career .306/.413/.519 line :shock: Uh, uhm. Yea, I could see myself loving him.

    First of all, E-ramis is lame. Just like Sam-"ME" and "K"orey, and every other negative nickname that bitter Cubs fans come up with. But if you had to do this with Aramis, then Error-mis is a lot funnier and works a lot better than E-ramis. Jake might be able to confirm this, but I think it was bitter Pirate fans that came up with both E-ramis and Error-miss Ramirez. I know you weren't implying that they hadn't, I just thought it was a worthy point of information. I think you are correct. Either way, still lame.

    I do not like the trade either, But, your tone seems to be a little offensive. If you disagree with it fine, so do I, but it would be in your best interest to not sound as snippy.

    First of all, your use of "E-ramis" when he has drastically improved his defense is REALLY annoying. Secondly, how would we have no one to play center? We have Hairston. Thirdly, hoops is proposing the trade under the assumption(his personal beleif) that Walker will not be returning next year. Finally, he's not fat. He's 6'2" 180lbs. Thats pretty skinny for being 6'2" EDIT: also, an interesting note, he played 1 game at SS this year. I'd rather see him there than Neifi.

    I was optomistic, I said 92 wins. However, I stil said that we are a worse team than we were last year. We did not improve our offense. We did not improve our bullpen. We did not improve just about anything. We traded away sammy just to trade him (he's sucking this year, yes. But I still think we could have gotten more..) we traded Farns just to trade him, and look how good he is doing this year. We had a BAD offseason, and its coming back to haunt us. That being said, I beleive the team is fixable, but not with dusty heading the ship. Oh, i voted no.

    Hey, that's not a bad idea. Maybe that would not only get the cubbies going, but get recenlty doom-and-gloom attitude outta the way. I'm usually a very positive person. . . this season is dang near about to ruin me. I hear ya man. I'm usually one of the happiest guys you'll meet, but I've noticed that when I watch Cubs games this year, it's not even fun. I'm usually complaining about something or pissed about a stupid Dusty move. And it's carried over to my non-Cubs life too. There's obviously one solution to this problem... fire Dusty. Good, I'm not the only one. I am not excited about this team, at all. Its almost a chore to watch games anymore. Its not even half fun.

    You may want to check out his 2005 numbers at Iowa and not just go by what he did last year at AA. Stop being logical.
