  1. Haha, ron stumbling over his words....He likes cheerleaders.
  2. It sure looked like it. I'm sure we'll see some replays after the break. OH HELL......he so trapped that.
  3. Exactly. As much as I hate neifi playing. And I dislike that Murton is sitting, I'm really happy with the fact he is keeping the top of hte lineup the same.
  4. me 2 unfortunately I doubt a loss today would do anything. Bruce Miles seemed pretty sure that the organization had no plans on firing baker anytime in the forseeable future. I dont think Jim will have much of a choice if we end up the year 5-15 games under 500. I agree with you there. But I'd rather see us do something this year, rather then lose just to fulfill my vendetta against baker.

  6. Ugh. I really dont like the prospect of trading Z. But, I guess if we get Abreu back....but still
  7. Thank you, I tried to take the lineups from CBSSportsline like five times but the site kept freezing my computer.
  8. I've been looking, but they aren't up anywhere yet. I've been looking too.
  9. Game starts in an hour...still no lineups....hmm.
  10. Yeah, leave him down for this year, maybe make him a September callup, but not before. Invite him to ST, let him try to earn his spot on the roster for next year. You don't want to stump his development, as who knows if Dusty would play him? Would he play center? Pulling players up from AA doesnt bother me as much as some. Because, Sometimes it works. (See: Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis) But, It shouldnt become a practice. I think Pie may be the type of guy you might be able to do that with, pull him up early that is. I think if it helps the team (as i do not see htis year as a lost cause) we might want to think about it. Might. And I think he would probably play center. It seems to me that dusty doesnt like Hairston. I could see him playing Pie over Hairston. Just my opinion. But then what do you do with Pie if/when Patterson comes back? Good question. My guess is that Patterson gets traded somewhere. For whatever reason I dont think he has a future with this team. Even though I really do like him.
  11. Maybe next time the tv info could at least happen. And the starting pitchers. Some of us DO care. Nothing personal roast, but if you're not going to put the necessary info in the game thread, then let someone else start it. 1. I did not know who was starting. 2. I did not know what channel it was going to be on. 3. I was planning on adding those things after the cubs website put that info on their page, but i forgot. 4. I think I just got on someones case the other day for this, and was told it was ok because he was "shaking things up a bit" It was originally and funny once, but now I think people would rather just have the information. So do i. I was planning on adding it. Like I said, I forgot, I'm sorry. I think sometimes people take these things waaaaaaaaay too seriously. For future reference, in case the thread starter forgets, decides to shake it up, or whatever... 1. click on the address window of you web browser. 2. type in the window "www.cubs.com". 3. Look to the left hand side of the page when it loads (15-30 seconds with high speed internet...a little longer with dial-up) and you will see the information that you seek. Rather than get upset, just find it yourself. Does this need to be a sticky? :P Alternatively, you could check this really cool website. hahaha. Yea, that too.
  12. This is a tough call for me. If I had some assurance that Kearns would return to 03 form, i'd do it so fast it'd make heads spin. However, I think we already have a Sucky major league outfielder that got sent down to AAA.....

  14. Truthfully, I dont see Hairston with us as a long term outfielder. I see him at second more than center. However, you are right, in a few years, we're gonna have a hella-good outfield if we dont trade it away.
  15. Congrats to matt. Nice to see him doing well.
