  1. See, thats what really burns me. I dont really mind that much that Murton might get one day off. Okay, fine. But Cedeno is rotting on the bench while Neifi stands out there and continues to suck massively.
  2. Hah. Ya know, Thats really sad. One of the few guys on our team who can actually take walks and get on base at a good clip is being accused of such things. :x
  3. I agree with everything you've said here. Trading him would be a bad idea, unless said trade brings us somebody like a Dunn, which is highly unlikely.
  4. Tim, I think I brought this up last year. But I suggest you replace the Division standings on the front page with the Wild Card standings for two reasons. One, Seven games back is alot less depressing than 12.5 back. Two, the wild card, even though some beleive even that is unreachable, is alot more likely than the division. Or you could put both of them on the front page. Either way, I'd like to see the wild card there.
  5. Maybe he's getting back in shape for.....well.....you know.
  6. Maybe next time the tv info could at least happen. And the starting pitchers. Some of us DO care. Nothing personal roast, but if you're not going to put the necessary info in the game thread, then let someone else start it. 1. I did not know who was starting. 2. I did not know what channel it was going to be on. 3. I was planning on adding those things after the cubs website put that info on their page, but i forgot. 4. I think I just got on someones case the other day for this, and was told it was ok because he was "shaking things up a bit" It was originally and funny once, but now I think people would rather just have the information. So do i. I was planning on adding it. Like I said, I forgot, I'm sorry. I think sometimes people take these things waaaaaaaaay too seriously. For future reference, in case the thread starter forgets, decides to shake it up, or whatever... 1. click on the address window of you web browser. 2. type in the window "www.cubs.com". 3. Look to the left hand side of the page when it loads (15-30 seconds with high speed internet...a little longer with dial-up) and you will see the information that you seek. Rather than get upset, just find it yourself. Does this need to be a sticky? :P Thank you. jeesh. Must be a full moon tonight. Today has not been a good People-day for me. Oh well, anywho. I'm sorry for forgeting, it wont happen again (probably cause these bums wont win again)

  10. Pfft. Nice try you bunch of losers. I betcha you cant do it again.
  11. Hey, wadduya know. Rookies can do stuff. But, the negativity works. So, Cubs still suck.
  12. CEEEEEEEDDDDEEEEEEENNNNNNNNOOOOOOOO
  13. Crap, and give our pen a chance to blow it?
  14. Okay, just got back from work. When I went on break the score was 3-1, and i know how it got htat way. Please update me on what happened between then and the rain delay...
  15. I think we can take him off their hands for them.....
  16. You have no idea how much I envy you. Your job is to go to baseball games. Seriously though, thanks for stopping by.
  17. Exactly, when they are struggling against wild card contenders, it's not realistic to assume the 14 games against the Cardinals are going to be helpful to the Cubs. If they hope to turn this season around, they need to start beating the teams they should be beating, and maybe the Cards series will fall into place. At this moment in time, I just don't see how playing the Cardinals can be a good thing I am just saying that there are too many games left with contenders to give up yet.
  18. AHH CAPS LOCK ALERT!!!!!!!! :P
  19. *sigh* I dont know how he has turned the attitude. From an outsiders view, it looks like things are in shambles. I hope thats just cause we have a bad view from here.
  20. There's one axiom that goes that a GM gets one manager to fire. Dusty is Jim's first manager. The key pivot point here may be how Dusty uses the kids. Yes, their futures are tied together, but if Jim at some points feels he must fire Dusty (that time inevitably comes for all GMs), he'll be allowed to do it and stay on. The Cubs value Hendry's overall contributions since he came on board 10 years ago. Okay, that being said (and if you have time), do you personally beleive dusty is on his way out? Also, I saw it posted somewhere today that the cubs were no longer looking for a "fix" at the trading deadline, but rather a couple of young guys for the future. Is this true? Is the organization really giving up on this year? ( I think giving up is a bad idea, considering we still have 14 games to play with St. Louis)
  21. I'm pretty excited also. Check out my Post in rants. That explains my excitedness.
  22. He can come here and ride the pine with Murton Cedeno and Greenberg!
