    I honestly have no idea how many different ways we can freakin lose. Nothing can get this team motivated. They could watch a piss ant eat a bale of hay and still be uninspired. I mean, So far we have: -Gotten Kerry Wood back. Nothing. -Punched the biggest prick in baseball in the face. Nope -Come from behind win against the world champs. Nadda. We cant freakin win. Why? Dusty is a tool We cant pitch well We cant friggin score Our lineup blows I keep telling myself we have to get better sometime soon. We cant stay THIS bad for so long. But every day, the cubs find a new and creative way to prove me wrong.

    yet it never sinks in to Baker, does it?? Dude, Look at them, the bases are all clogged, how can they get on base, their all clogged up! You talk about OBP, but you cant get on when the bases are clogged dude!

    Well, thanks to bk i have what i need as far as ruth goes, Does anybody have any idea on what Cy young was paid over/at some point during his career. Thats really all i need, I cant go too in depth for this because the presentation is pretty short.

    I'm doing this project for school on baseball in the early 1900's vs. baseball today. I need some help with player salaries. Where can I find info on current player contracts, and historical contracts (Babe ruth, Cy young) The link on the front page isnt working, fyi. Thanks in advance.

    I'm just excited I got my name in the first post of this thread! :-D I feel so special. In other news, I see this as a really pivitol series. I think After barretts AJ-beatdown and then the come from behind win today, we have a chance to pick up some momentum. The marlins arent pushovers, but they aren't exactley the creme de la creme. I see this as a series in which we could pick up a little steam, and possibly *GASP* start winning games. Barrett will likely appeal his suspension, so it may take close to a week before he actually serves that suspension. If that is the case, then Lee will be pretty close to coming back when Barrett finally does go down. In which case we wont be totally offensivley hopeless for to long.. *sigh*...i just want us to not suck

    Yeah, ok. Giving up 4ER isn't exactly top of the line pitching, especially with our offense. What the hell does our offense have to do with zambrano's pitching? A well pitched game is a well pitched game, reguardless of how crappy our offense is.

    Z! caused a bit of a shouting match after Pierzynski homered. Haha, did he really? What happened? I guess he pointed at AJ and started yelling at him as he rounded third. THen Guillen went bazerk and made an ass of himself while carlos stood and watched on the mound. Was it concluded he was yelling at AJP? Len was under the impression it was towards Cora the 3rd base coach. Why would he have yelled at him?
