    Help

Actually i have shelton starting and murton sitting for encarnacion at the moment, i just pulled that roster over from the league message board, I keep it up to date as of which players are on my team, but not really who i have starting and who i dont. Also, I dont think my outfield is all that bad anymore. Catalanotto, Hunter, Sheffield, and Hawpe isnt bad, imo. At least not as bad as it was before. Oh, and BBB, i think you need to check out the roster I just posted...I dont have Lofton on my team anymore.... And no, i'm not competing for anything at the moment, i'm retooling for next year

    Help

BUMP. After a couple trades and some adding and dropping this is what my new improved team looks like: Offensive Starters C- Ramon Hernandez BAL 1B- Prince Fielder MIL 2B- Todd Walker CHC SS- Troy Glaus TOR 3B- Aramis Ramirez CHC CI- Riche Sexson SEA MI- Mark Grudzielanek KC LF- Frank Catalanotto TOR CF- Torii Hunter MIN RF- Brad Hawpe COL OF- Matt Murton CHC UTIL- Jorge Posada NYY Offensive Bench 1B- Chris Shelton DET OF- Juan Encarnacion STL DISABLED LIST: Gary Sheffield NYY Pitching Starters SP- Carlos Zambrano CHC SP- Ryan Madson PHI SP- Chris Capuano MIL P- Mark Redman SP PIT P- Brandon Webb SP ARI P- Jake Westbrook SP CLE RP- Jonathon Broxton LAD RP- Kyle Farnsworth NYY RP- Billy Wagner NYM Pitching Bench SP- Livan Hernandez WAS SP- Jon Garland CWS SP- Aaron Cook COL SP- Carlos Marmol CHC RP- Braden Looper STL SP- Wandy Rodriguez HOU DISABLED LIST- Ben Sheets MIL MINORS Offensive Prospects OF- Ryan Sweeney CHW 2B- Delwyn Young LA 2B- Eric Patterson CHC SS- Matt Bush SD SS- Justin Upton ARIZ OF- John Mayberry TEX SS- Ivan De Jesus LAD OF- Brian Pettway TOR OF- Brian Anderson CWS Pitching Prospects SP- Angel Guzman CHC SP- Billy Petrick CHC SP- JD Durbin MIN SP- Dustin McGowan TOR I have one open spot on my big league team and two on my minor league squad, which still needs some fixing. As far as the big leagues go, I just completed a big trade that I think will really help me in the future. I traded Jered Weaver and Jhonny Peralta (who i picked up off the scrap heap last year, WooT!) to the second place team for Ramon Hernandez, Troy Glaus, Torii Hunter, and Dustin McGowan. I'm still looking around to see what i can get for Brandon Webb, I'm looking for another big bat. I'd still like to upgrade, in center and at second especially. But what do you guys think of my team at this point? Also, do you guys have any suggestions as to a Minor leaguer i might want to pick up (notice, all 12 teams have a 15 man minor league system, so all the obvious guys are gone) Thanks for the help and i love comments...
  3. Dusty: How in the world did he score a run? That made me laugh. And now i may just cry :(
  4. Trade him to the yankees. Then Z and Farns can can take over the world (and kick its ass). Z deserves a team that at least has a slim chance of victory.
  5. HOORAY FOR BASELESS ACCUSATIONS! :w00t:
  6. Well I think thats the point of every trading deadline. However, since so many teams are still in the race, I really doubt there will be very many trades at all this season. I think this year will resemble last year, in that the big blockbuster deal at the deadline was......matt lawton? is he even playing this year?
  7. haha, Z is the man. a very naive man, but the man.
  8. I'm taking Jeremy Shockey
  9. yeah, that 2005 era of 4.51 is a spitting image of this year's 3.47. I think he was talking about personel... Still may not be true, just pointing that out.
  10. we need 7 more people! JOIN JOIN JOIN.
  11. Oh boo. We can always use more! Where is Mark Guthrie these days!?
  12. the doormat of the national league.
  13. I doubt Miggy C is going anywhere. Willis, possibly, but Cabrera would be organizational suicide.
  14. Well, I think he played it in the AllStar Game last year... And he has played it 20 times over his career, but not at all in the last three years.
  15. Funny.... He's doing so well for me off my bench in MLB05 :-D
  16. The Football Team selects Warrick Dunn
  17. I did...or so i thought... EDIT: i fixed it. It is now a keeper league set for three keepers. We can change the number if people decide they want more/less.
  18. Zambrano would argue he wanted to pitch if he had 8 bullet holes and a knife in his arm.
  19. That was a good attempt, but I think it took the only shattered batting helmet I can recall in recent history to really start the downward spiral. Yah, Sammy was never the same after Saloman Tores (SP???) gave him that shot to the head.... I hate that man...
  20. I am looking to start a Keeper league on a site called http://www.fleaflicker.com (props to TT for finding this site). Its real new but it looks absoloutley amazing. You can take a tour once you get there, if you would like. Its free to play but you do have to register. Anyways; here is the league information: Live Draft (the time is TBD) 12 teams, divided into 3 divisions LEAGUE NAME: NSBB Gridiron LEAGUE PASSWORD: cubs Sign up!
  21. Using Cora as the hitman......genius!!! There needs to be some serious punishment handed out to the White Sox if Z is out for an extended period of time and Cora is responsible. And feel free to bombard ozzie at ozzieguillen13@hotmail.com It was in the Tribune last year Why? it was an accident. I seriously doubt he had him hit Z with a fungo bat. Furthermore, its pretty immature you are telling people to bombard his email
  22. No, Wood hurt his shoulder on purpose so he could bilk the Cubs out of money. Wood never wanted to pitch. You should know that by now. Oh yah. I forgot.
  23. You forgot to mention Furcal ramming into Lee and breaking his wrist. A few year back, but Mueller and the injury in St. Louis could be included. Oh how could i forget. How about nomar blowing his groin muscle while leaving the batters box. Or sammy's Ingrown toenail.
  24. What is it with the cubs, seriously. Farnsworth injures himself kicking something Sosa throws out his back sneezing Prior takes a line drive off the elbow Z takes a fungo bat to the elbow. Wood is the only one man enough to have a real injury.
