It's like the opposite of Brian Giles. Derek Jeter has been called overrated for so long that he's actually underrated by many now. Dude has a .390 career OBP, a 124 OPS+, and plays just about every game. That OPS+ puts him ahead of every shortstop except for Honus Wagner, A-Rod, Arky Vaughan and Nomar. So yeah, I'd take him. And add his 253 career SB at 79% success rate. Jeter is most definetly not overrated. Overpublicized, probably. Also...
