  1. Its 2003 all over again for Konerko. Almost to a tee.
  2. The Cubs have lost power and need it turned on immediately. Aramis is exempt from this discussion with his 12 HRs. Lee's HRs as mentioned on the board is way down but at least you could say he is hitting the ball hard. The lack of HR power in the outfield is crazy bad. Soriano=4 Murton=1 Floyd=2 Jones=1 All 4 of these guys SLG% is significantly off their norms. 550 at bats and only 8 HRs. That is like having 3 So Taguchi's roaming the outfield. Maybe Lou really would be better off with midgets in the outfield, because thats about all they got for instant power out there. Whatta riddle this power outage is.
  3. Id like to think/hope that part of Lou's meeting was chewing Hendry's and McD's ass about needing to sack up and releasing Eyre.
  4. You know Sergio? Lets go see Sergio. Nah....the Cubs will get their ass kicked.
  5. Ronny Cedeno is the one who should be cast in the role of utility player. Both Fontenot and EPatt should be placed above Cedeno in terms of letting them play their approriate positions and allowing them to maximize their potential. Now i understand Fontenot is better served defensivley at 2b but he at least can play SS unlike EPatt, so it goes him at ss and EPatt at 2b. Why is Cedeno throwing the wrench in this whole thing. I scratch my head about this.
  6. bottom of the order. shouldnt be that hard, should it?
  7. I'd hardly call Wuertz-Dempster "automatic" no no. i mean automatic decision. Outcome.....thats a different story.
  8. Its like giving money to a kid. Hes got to spend it. Another problem with an ownerless team.
  9. Can we now install a if its a 3 run lead or less in the 8th we go Wuertz then Dempster. Automatic. Thanks
  10. if you are going to suck and make outs, at least try and make them productive.
  11. Done Done. Thats like locking in our answer, no turning back.
  12. Im still pretty pissed about last night. That 7th inning was a freaking hit parade and then the 8th was massive meltdown. No words, just a head shaker. Itd be dnice to get this one.
  13. just realized the extra 40 minutes 'delay' compared to SD. i hope those late arriving dodger fan bastards get into the game and see the score 5-0. Nothing sucks more than having your team routed before you even start to have fun.
  14. It's like the opposite of Brian Giles. Derek Jeter has been called overrated for so long that he's actually underrated by many now. Dude has a .390 career OBP, a 124 OPS+, and plays just about every game. That OPS+ puts him ahead of every shortstop except for Honus Wagner, A-Rod, Arky Vaughan and Nomar. So yeah, I'd take him. And add his 253 career SB at 79% success rate. Jeter is most definetly not overrated. Overpublicized, probably. Also... Career Post Season for Jeter .314 .383 .479 Most viewership happens in the post season and Jeter rakes when everyone is watching.
  15. The Brewers signed Jeff Suppan, how could they get outbid by them. the deal he got was fair, it wasnt excessive. Compared to years past it seems like a lot but this is the newer age of baseball contracts and its not. Jocketty's first offer to him was awful, especially for a team post a WS victory and 2 years removed from a new stadiums income.
