DP's are such an emotional rollar coaster. When the Cubs get em its like whew, yah. Then when they hit in em its totally sucks your good feelings out.

Seriously, he looks like he has absolutely nothing today. I dont think ive ever seen him pitch anywhere near his hype. are we really going to go through another round of "this young guy with 40 big league innings under his belt is never going to amount to anything?" maybe you weren't here for rich hill last season. Ive seen enough of him this year to be much more encouraged than discouraged. As the Cubs 5th, ive seen a lot worse.

I didn't realize how many Cub fans there are out of Illinois..That really has to suck that you can't watch your favorite team hardly ever.. Nah WGN is pretty good to me. This year i got the MLB.TV package as a supplement. Today is the first game of the year i wont be able to watch. I dont understand why EI you can get it but not on mlb.tv

Im blacked out. SOB. Now im going to have to listen to the game on the radio. Damn thats a lot of 'to's. Freaking Tigers on TV. Smokin a cigar and listening to the game isnt as fun as watching. Thanks fox. Cubs better win. No more Craptacular play please.

If the Cubs are going to go to a 11 man rotation he BETTER be put on the 40 man and called up. Or if they can godwilling somehow trade Izturis. Izturis will not be on this team next year. Fontenot is a perfect replacement. Guys like Fontenot are the perfect 25th man, not 1 year FA guys. -

Not really. Plus, he's playing out of position. Out of position? It's a routine fly ball for god sakes. Murton has no business in RF. Period. Neither does Floyd. We have too many LFers and no RFers. The only real difference between the 2 is the need for arm strength in RF. Murton dropped a can of corn.

Pagan probably will start 1-2 games a week-that's about the average amount of times the team should face a left-hander, and Pagan was brought up to play against LHP. That makes no sense...Pagan was terrible vs LHP last season. So is Jones, and so is Pie. It's not a great option, but it will hopefully be a small improvement, and Pagan has been good against LHP so far this year in the minors. Why not Chris Walker then? He provides better defense than Pagan, is a better base stealer, and hits for higher average I was wondering the same thing. Walker was hardly even mentioned as a possible call-up - what's the story with him? On the surface he looks much better than Pagan. Not on the 40 man roster. Dumping someone like Cedeno or Pagan from the roster is just to out of the box.

The thing that seperates those 3 is that Felix Pie is your best defender. Felix Pie is your CF of the future. Felix Pie should get the chance to be your everyday CF until he proves otherwise. Is there really anything we've seen from him this year to say he deserves the chance? I sure havent seen anything where i am all up in arms that he isnt the regular CF. I know he hasnt had regular time but still i havent been 'wowed' yet to say..you are my starting CF for a playoff contender.

please read the thread before you start mocking people. jones is useless against LHP, and if lou absolutely insists on using him against them, it's better for the team if he's somehow gone. So since he is awful against 20% of the pitchers we should totally discount his production against the other 80% of pitchers and leave him on the curb. Jones is awful against lefties, i wont argue that. So is Pie, hes worse. Floyd not so hot either. Ward no thanks. The team has too many lefty outfield bats, there is going to be one Lefty in the outfield unless you have DeRosa in right and they you have Izturis in SS because Theriot now moves to 2b. Its not Lou's or Jones' fault, it lies more on the doorstep of Hendry.

Marquis really cruised throughout the game. He was pretty awesome. Who would of thunk that after a 15inning game the starter to pitch a CG after it would be Marquis. AND... The Cubs won a 1-0 game. how bout dat!

Last night was a bad loss. A win tonight will wash that awful taste away. Oh and i fell asleep last night watching the game. Id like to know whether they win or lose BEFORE i fall asleep. Thanks.
