  1. I like Brady Quinn as a pro better than Leinart. Leinart has a lollipop arm. Quinns is strong and accurate. Brady should think twice about who is going to return with him next year, especially the Oline. 3 of the 5 starters on the Oline are seniors, backups for 2 of those positions are also seniors, the other third senior's backup is a freshman. Stoval is gone too.
  2. Pretty cool idea if you ask me. Not if you paid $2,000 for seat, want to eat and can't stand the smell of one of those turds. I cannot stand cigars. If I'm paying that kind of money I don't want to have my food ruined by that junk. Sounds cool to me too. You dont go to cigar and martini bar to eat food. Sounds like this bar is only available to club members. Its not like its the only place to eat either for these people, they probably have suites. I bet they are changing it to cigar martini bar because no one ATE there in the first place.
  3. Colorado playing in a conference championship game is a joke. That team flat out sucked on national television against nebraska. Cant be too many people excited to watch this game. SEC championship. Now that looks like a championship.
  4. A lot of teams win ugly in this league the Bears arent the only ones. Just because its close and they made some plays doesnt mean its ugly anyways. The defense is tremendous. Id much rather have a dominating defense or offense than both an average offense and defense in this league. Tampa Bay has a very good defense and the Bears still had some success running the ball when tampa KNEW they were going to run the ball. Im impressed with this win.
  5. yeah shoop would blame the 'personel' said it didnt fit the screen pass. whatever. it helps make the defense think twic about blitzing orton.
  6. OMG that was sweet! jones had a caravan of OL
  7. penalties on punt returns are pissing me off. field possesion is getting ruined. grrrr.
  8. Does Texas or A&M recruit ANYBODY out of state. Good lord, everybody on that field is from Texas.
  9. Yes. 37 rushes for 313. The next year OSU was again ranked #2 in the AP and lost at home to the 21st ranked wolverines. OSU lost but still won the title outright, so that game didnt determine the championship but it ruined OSU second season in a row at a national championship.
  10. And i'll add. In the past 25 years: 4 Times the game directly determined the B10 champ, whoever won. 15 times the game determined the B10 championship by who won or loss. 1998 and 2001 are 2 examples of the 15. 1995 was probably the biggest with OSU being #2 in the country and losing to Michigan and Northwestern going to the Rose Bowl that year. 19 of 25 times sounds pretty solid that it does indeed determine the B10 champ.
  11. I dont know how Gabe Watson got B10 1st team. That fat piece of crap didnt do anything all year until he fell on the football in the game agains OSU. Woodley and Branch were better players on the d-line for that team than Gabe was.
  12. Isnt it weird to give it to a coach who took less responsibilty of his team this year than last year and got better results? He still gets my vote for at least adapting the offense to mrob and letting the assistants execute the plan. Quinn was already a good qb when weiss came to town.
  13. I just heard on ESPN radio the Oregon could now be in the Fiesta and OSU will get left out. So many different stories :x When is the BCS selection show? Dec. 4th BTW, another argument for a Big 10 title game: Ther have been split or co-champs 6 of the past 10 years How many of those Co-Champs met head to head? That is what I really just don't get. I think a few years ago UM and Iowa split but they did not play. This years co-champ thing just does not make sense. Half joking half sincere.....There already is a Big Ten Championship game. Its Ohio State verses Michigan.
  14. Well, ESPN agrees with you, as both of their guys have PSU playing Va Tech in the Orange Bowl, while collegefootballnews.com has PSU playing ND in the Fiesta. Who knows. I think both matchups would be exciting. I'd like to see PSU-USC. Big Ten vs Pac Ten in the Rose Bowl. Thats more like it.
  15. You wanna know something else that is screwy about the bcs. If the Rose Bowl wasnt the game to determine the national championship, we would know exactly where penn state is playing. The Rose Bowl. Michigan was big ten champs last year, well co-champs, but by way of head to head verse Iowa they got the automatic bid to the Rose Bowl.
  16. Now THAT is messed up. These bowls should have to give preference to conference winners Technically they are Co-Big Ten champs. But i agree with your point.
  17. Through week 11 we are not talking about the draft. Whattup.
  18. I dont think he did because the Cubs had the option to pick up this year. Until they declined his option, which i dont remember hearing about, he couldnt file for FA.
  19. Uh, this really isn't the best argument to use, being as the Bears needed an intercepted Jeff Garcia pass to beat the Bears less than 3 weeks ago. Uh, So the Bears barely beat the lions and the Panthers barely beat the lions.....sounds close to me. Lotsa people on TV and radio are making these guys to be bad asses and SB favorites of the NFC. Bad asses dont just barely beat the lions.
  20. Reminder: Carolina had to pull one out of their ass to beat the Lions a couple weeks ago. The Detroit Lions people.
  21. Eyre made $1.5M last year. Just hopin its not more than $2M.
  22. I don't mind if Penn State looses as long as they don't lose. Yeah what the hell, am i drunk already?
  23. Big Ten, ACC, Big East, SEC, Pac 10, Big 12 are ALL guaranteed one spot regardless of rankings in the BCS. The bowl games however that need those 'at large spots' CANNOT pick a team that is outside the top 12. ND was at one time (not sure if thats true anymore) were guaranteed a spot if they were in the top 8 bcs rankings.
  24. 11th in the CPU polls. ND is 13th. I will refrain from revealing my double standard. That's a joke. I cant come up with a reason why that would be. Even if you go by SOS they lost head-to-head vs ND. Most definetly weird.
  25. Ahhh yeah. This saturday of college football is the one i put on my calender. OSU vs Michigan. Not as interesting as say the last 5 years but still interesting nonetheless. UM wins and PSU loses. Happiness and craziness, big ten champs again! UM wins and PSU wins. Awesome, UM wins the big game and still goes to a better bowl than OSU. Congrats to PSU. We'll be too drunk and happy with the UM victory to spew venom at PSU. UM loses and PSU loses-Nightmare scenario. OSU wins big ten. A mini riot will ensue at our party. A crappy day indeed.
