  1. Not to belabor the point, but it isnt a fatal flaw for a championship team to have a player who is not an offensive threat. Many championship teams have either a PF or C who isnt much on the offensive end. The Bulls now need a PF, since the C is out, to be able to score some points and be a threat. Trading Chander is logical and a great salary dump. PJ Brown does not offer this offensive dimension that is needed but thats short sided (again salary dump). Tyrus will be the one, but its too soon to expect that in 06. The current team although good and you'd expect them to do more as they get more experience, wasnt going to take it to the next level and be championship material. The $15M on Ben although a lot, is a good risk.
  2. I dont have a problem with Wallace not having any offensive punch. Of the 4 teams in the conference finals 3 of them ran the high screen roll without an inside post up game. The Bulls can spread the floor and move the ball around with their slashers. The game is moving more towards less post up play.
  3. I need some entertainment. Bring on fatty.
  4. ohman was starting to get on my good side again, and then this. well at least it wasnt a Lefty hitting it.
  5. Good for the Bulls!
  6. Corey Patterson just rips a single to RF. Next pitch he steals 2nd, ball hits him in the helmet and goes to the outfield. Run scores and CP takes 3rd. Wasnt even close play at second on his SB.
  7. Didnt rusch pitch like 2.6 innings at AAA. This is so backass. Although if gooz isnt going to pitch id rather he be in AAA. BUT....BUT not for Rusch. Weurtz needs to be on the big roster not this fatty cake. :x :x
  8. Im with ya. Gooz still intrigues me though.
  9. Lets see what Marmol can do now with a little adversity after those 1st inning homers.
  10. Murton doesnt hit for power because he has a line drive swing. Look where he finishes his swing and there you will see the clue. He doesnt produce enough lift on the ball to generate enough deep flies to leave the park. Dude's only got 9 2bs. Its not like he's banging stuff off the walls and barely missing the homer. He needs to change his mechanics to hit for more power. I like what Williamson said. Dusty has lost this team. Heck when DLee said they didnt show up in Minny, first thing Dusty said was, no we didnt show up defensively. Like players show up for half the game. He totally undermined DLee's comment to deflect criticism from himself. Williamson just added more fuel.
  11. Dont be surprised, the team last year almost beat OSU and should have. Drew Stanton is the only person to save JLS....and he just might. Carr didnt figure it out until he was forced by gun point. English-Im going to coach the Chicago Bears secondary. Carr-How bout i promote you to assistant def coordinator? English-Do i get to call the plays? Carr-No English-Im signing the dotted line and going west to Chicago. Carr-Here's the playbook. Dusty would just insert 'dude'.
  12. So what's new? Michigan has top ten talent almost every year. Under Lloyd Carr they usually find a way to lose a close game or two and underachieve most years. So I don't know that they "should" beat everyone but ND and OSU. At Penn State and home games with Iowa and MSU will be tough also. What suggests that Chad Henne will be improved? He was worse last year than he was his freshman year and needs to prove that Braylon didn't make him. I can live with what you said except for the Henne comment. He had nearly identical numbers last year than as a true freshman with Braylon. He didnt get much better but he most defintly didnt regress. The Oline will be improved and with a healthy Hart and another year under the belt of Grady and Manningham the offense will be more consistant. Henne is not the question mark. Its the defense and how they adapt to a new coach and newer style of play. Someone said something about John L Smith. Yes he has to have a good year or he will be fired. He hasnt done anything since coming to east lansing.
