  1. Proposition for peeps wanting griese to play. Josh McNown (Det. backup QB) is getting more snaps at WR today than Mike Williams. Shall we have Griese lined up in the slot too?
  2. Ricky Manning Jr. is frickn awesome in this system!!!
  3. This would be a good time to try and nickel and dime these purple bastards
  4. FLorida is #2 in AP by 3 points. Before this week they were down by 63 to Michigan. For the coaches poll Michigan lost one point from last week. I think that means at least all of the coaches that had USC #2 switched there votes to Florida. Also i wonder if USC had won would FLorida had jumped Michigan? I dont think they would have. Kinda weird.
  5. Well i dont know if im going to go that far yet. 8) But its looking like a lot of people will get what they want and not have a rematch. Thats fine but you arent going to get a very good game. Florida is going to get their ass handed to them by OSU. Florida HAS NOT faced an offense any where near proficient like Troy Smith and company. The QB's in the SEC are mediocre. Yes mediocre. OSU isnt one dimensional either like a lot of SEC teams. Florida defense has not been tested, they are in for a rude awakening. Flip to the other side. I like Chris Leak. Unfortunately for him his offense comes from Disney Land and is coached by Mickey Mouse. They are so one dimensional with the passing game and that spread run game is going to go nowhere against a smart and talented OSU defense. You have got to be multi dimensional to beat OSU defense and Florida is far from it. One dimensional teams get smoked by OSU. Florida can make some big plays against OSU but they sure the hell arent going to sustain drives and march down the field for 3 TD's like they will need to. Michigan had a bigger lead in the Harris Poll than Coaches so all hope is not lost.
  6. If Griese plays, that's a distinct possibility. He's just as turnover prone. He's not *this* turnover prone though. I really want Rex to get it together because I understand what you're saying. But this is going south so damn quick. Yes he is. His track record shows it. There's a reason Denver let him go. He would consistently make poor decisions. Football is just like baseball sometimes. You have a mediocre, veteran guy with a mediocre arm as a backup, and people throw adjectives around like "experienced", "savvy", "game manager", "ball control guy" and whatever. The only reason i could see a positive about Gries is he isnt very good at the deep ball. So turner might stop calling that play. Thats the only advantage i see.
  7. WHy the bomb? damnit stop calling and running that play.
  8. dude i bet im like 10 seconds behind you.
  9. could they of taken the 5 yard penalty and the spot of the ball being down? i would of liked that.
  10. i dont get the game. i get detroit vs NE. go the radio from 780 website though.
  11. While I would agree that the SEC does not have as tough of a non-conference schedule, you forgot some good opponents in there. Tennessee played California for example, Mississippi State played West Virginia, LSU played Arizona (an ok team), Georgia played Colorado (who is awful this year, but is still better than Duke who you listed) and so on. The Pac 10 is really the only major conference this year that has really done a very good job of playing OOC opponents this year-everybody else has been close to the same strength. Look at one computer's strength of schedule non-conference for the 6 major conferences: Pac 10: .530 ACC: .456 Big East: .427 Big 10: .415 SEC: .410 Big 12: .410 2nd is closer to 6th then it is to first, and the last 4 conferences are very, very close, I only ranked the road games that they played. These were ALL the non-conference road games that the SEC played. With only Florida being an elite team that played a quality non-conference road game. Yes they did have some better home games. Still Tennessee was the only Elite SEC team to play a Top 25 non-conference game. I do know that some Elite Big Ten schools have offered home and home series with some Elite SEC schools and have been denied. I am just saying that the SEC is considered the best because of perception. They will have success in Bowl games because they are mostly quasi home games for them. I would just like to see some of these schools play some good teams on the road some. I am not saying everyteam everyyear but in a year like this you really dont have much to go on on how good the SEC is. As opposed to the Big Ten which had at least 5 non-conference road games against Top 25 teams. I didnt look it up yet I just thought of 5 off the top of my head. If an elite SEC school had played at Notre Dame or Texas or someone similar than we could at least get a feel for how good the conference really is. Well Florida did schedule FSU. FSU was supposed to be pretty elite but ending up sucking pretty bad. And that game was awful and Florida didnt look to good and barely won.
  12. I think they're bad with bad footing - Snow or Rain. If they can't get good footing they are going to get pushed around (see: Steelers last year). Cold, I think they are fine. It's 9 right on the lakefront right now. Is it snowing? its snowing here on the other side of the lake.
  13. ESPN has a poll. Here are 3 of the questions with the results of 150,000 Who should play OSU? Florida 52: Michigan 48 Whose offense would cause more problems for OSU? Florida 40: Michigan 60 Whose defense would cause more problems for OSU? Florida 43: Michigan 57 So Florida must have an unbelievable special teams for them to be a better team and play OSU in the minds of these people. This is a great example of who people think is the better team but side the 'no rematch' dribble.
  14. Welcome to my world. Nooooo. Im turning to the dark side! :P
  15. Danielson literally begging for voters to vote for Florida was waay out of line for an announcer. A home team announcer i can live with. But a national announcer is pathetic.
  16. I'm curious on how many points the Gators get on the computers for a win over a 10-2 team. I dont know. i think UM was 3rd behind USC today. Also UM had the 3 toughest schedule. (at least thats the graphic i saw in the USC/UCLA game)
  17. I dont think the coaches care about a rematch. the harris poll is another story. FLorida lost votes last week playing florida state. lets see if they get those people back AND then some.
  18. why wont the hogs go to the cap one bowl? UF and LSU are going to the BCS.
  19. Urban Meyer is a douchebag extraordinaire. Ive learned that tonight. At least he wants a playoff. So does lloyd carr.
  20. Urban Meyer is a douchebag extraordinaire. Ive learned that tonight.

  22. stupid pass.
