    Play someone at third that can hit decently and play Valbuena at second. Done. And who is that? The 24 year old prospect, with eye problems, who put up a .302 OBP and .671 SLG in AAA last year..... I'm guessing you meant OPS?

    Daury Torrez, Erick Leal, Tyler Skulina, and Ben Wells should be in a top 30, and he doesn't have them in the 40.

    But they'll get another year of Tanaka Yeah, I'm sure that's why they can't make a decision. He might get them to the NPB World Series. The NPB doesn't exist for the sole purpose of making MLB teams better. You're acting like they're some Frontier League team. I just don't understand where Tangled Up in Plaid's logic. My point is they don't care at all about having Tanaka on their team. If the posting rules hadn't changed they'd already be 55 million dollars richer and wouldn't have thought twice about posting him.

    It's nobody's "fault", but they're acting like there is a conspiracy against them and trying to find any way they can to circumvent the new system that was agreed on by every other team in the league and MLB. I guarantee if they hold off on posting him until next year the new rules aren't going to magically change and give them an extra 30 million.

    Doesn't sound like they're intending on moving Ackley though. I've also completely soured on Ackley and genuinely think Franklin is a more valuable player than Ackley at this point. I agree, if I had to choose. Ackley might have a pedigree, but his performance hasn't been just bad, it's been absolutely pathetic. Franklin's three years younger and would at least provide defense.

    Angel Guzman is 32. Not sure which is worse, how old that makes me feel or the fact he could still be in the prime of his career.

    Lock. Probably won't be be first ballot due to his relatively short peak and injury issues.

    A while back Keith Law stated that a lot of teams would almost definitely claim Jackson if he were waived based on his athleticism and probably, just my speculation, because other teams might think they can help him fix his swing. Guaranteed there is some front office out there who thinks they have the secret to fix him. They're welcome to him.

    I doubt any of the teams are going to leave the Carolina League. The only way the Cubs are going to get in is to find another team willing to come with and expand the league. They could buy a team. The Cardinals own a number of their minor league affiliates. No idea of the costs involved. Red Sox did the same thing when Theo was in charge. I think it will happen.

    Taijuan Walker could be just as productive as David Price next year. They'd have to be mad to put him in a deal for Price.
