  1. How do you figure? They have an open championship window for the foreseeable future as a result of the trade. They have 3 legit scoring options in a crappy East. did you not read that There was no other package remotely close what Cleveland have up for love?
  2. At $5m/year, I hope he doesn't mind double duty as part of the groundskeeping crew. #ptr
  3. Didn't Derrek Lee sign an extension shortly after being traded to the Cubs? 10 years ago, I know, but that popped in my head for some reason.
  4. Contractual obligation. What are they gonna do, not let him be on the radio anymore? From the little that I've paid attention to the ordeal, it sounds like they're gonna call him out on it, which is really the only thing they can do. I have no idea if Cutler had a legit reason to miss it or not, I don't particularly care either way. I did hear a chunk of his last appearance though, and given that he was nearly openly mocking fans asking him (terrible) questions in person, and his beloved 'don't care' persona, it wouldn't surprise me one bit that after Sunday's debacle that he woke up and decided he had to find a way not to go do the show and deal with all the moronic fan questions. That doesn't make a bit of difference about him as a football player, but people(especially the radio guys invested in his performance) wouldn't be wrong to call it a dick move. God, wasn't that [expletive] glorious? It was the main reason I was disappointed there was no show on Monday. {ladies rambles about brandon marshall not getting enough targets} jay: {audible siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigghhhhh} "uhhhhh gooodness" {guy rambles on about his fantasy team} jay: {doesn't answer, implies about moving on to the next question} that segment there might have been my favorite part of any of his shows.

  8. Saw this one today. According to Gil Brandt. Pickable passes (ball thrown that should have been INT): Best: Cam Newton (0 in 179 att), Matt Ryan (1-234). Worst: Jay Cutler (9-229) #footballstats I find it strange that some people on here are pretending that the guy isnt the QB that tends to throw a back breaking INT in the worst situations. Statistically an average to above average QB, okay. But he's been an INT prone in bad situations over the last 9 years. To think it's a matter of 'cleaning it up' and that he's going to suddenly 'clean it up' is laughable and mind-numbingly stupid. Dan Bernstein had it right when seriously doubting that he'll ever be able to put together a win streak long enough to take a team to the Superbowl. McNabb is incorrect about comparing Cutler to Romo due to the fact that Romo has better career numbers then Jay. This bad situations talk is just dumb. Sure it's nothing that you can quantify with a stat, but it's definitely the majority opinion about him that isn't necessarily untrue. Kyle is right and maybe my wording of it is off but Cutler throws INTs with the best of them for whatever reason. I too believe he'll never be able to put together a sustained level of play good enough to take a team to the Superbowl. I hope I'm wrong. do u think joe flacco is Elite?
  9. NLDS: Game 1: I broke my cell phone after the 4th or 5th inning when they left the bases loaded. Screamed after the Wood double. Game 3: Mark Prior Game 5: Kerry Wood NLCS: Game 1: Thought we were going to sweep after the first inning, screamed again after Sosa's HR Game 2: Seriously, all I remember is lots of dongs and Mark Prior being left in the game after throwing 110 pitchers or more. Game 3: Simon's 8th inning HR, the Glanville triple Game 4: Aramis grand slam, nothing else Game 5: Went to a semi-cubs bar (I was a college freshman in Omaha), absolutely slammed for the Sunday afternoon game. Everyone figured they were going to clinch that day, even remember the pre-game announcer saying he thought they were going to finish the Marlins off. Game 6: Had a flag football game that night, didn't start watching until the top of the 8th. seriously. Game 7: Thought it was over before it started, and then the first inning happened. Screamed again during the Wood home run, and then thought holy crap after the Alou home run. siiiiigh
  10. I went to the Bears-Packers week 17 during the 2010 season (although it was Jan 2nd), and Packers fans were really pretty decent. Maybe it was because I was with a few Indians with beards and the Wisconsonites were scared, but still treated pretty well overall. Doesn't hurt that the Bears already won the division.
  11. I lost my fantasy game 98-97 because of that pick 6 while leaving T.Y. Hilton on the bench. hooray.

  17. What did Telander ask Theo? And god, our local media is insufferable.
  18. I have a friend, who was a STATISTICS major in the college, telling me that sacrifice bunting was the right "strategy", "real baseball", "the way the game is supposed to be played" and is up in arms when I said that giving up an out in exchange for one base is not sound rationale. His logic (remember, he was a stats major), "I didn't see oakland win the game with their moneyball" As much as I like to see KC win, they really do not deserve this because their organization is a complete mess, Dayton Moore is an idiot, and we're going to have to hear about this small ball crap until they're eliminated.
  19. Pick one between Rashad Jennings (vs. Washington), DeSean Jackson (vs. Philly), Kennan Allen (vs. Jacksonville)
