    That was pretty apparent, but I thought he did a nice job. I liked him, but he was very vanilla. I thought he was great. I'd have liked to have seen him give it a full year before making a decision like this, but I understand it. Wannstedt has been getting a push right now. Wonder if it could be him? What is Wanny doing these days besides coming on the score once a week? He's only 62, I'm surprised he's still not trying to coach somewhere in some capacity. He does some work for FS1

    Rappaport saying that Cutler will start. Dan Wierderer brings up an interesting points - Bears usually don't announce that a player is out with a concussion this early in the week.

    Most of the media guys are complimenting Cutler, on him once again, taking the high road. This is depressing, almost like eulogy for Cutler's time in Chicago. I'm really going to miss the guy

    Dickerson is a notorious Cutler basher, so this tells you so much when he's reporting that Cutler's benching has caused a seeming uproar in the locker room. But there are several conflicting reports between Dickerson, Mike Silver, the Krapman, etc.

    I lost my fantasy semis 103-101 because Dez had a career night and Maclin fell on the 1 freaking yard line instead of getting into the end zone. Pretty much sums up my season though, went 7-7 in the regular season with the most points in the league even though i somehow got in the playoffs. Playing for third and will no doubt lose to a guy starting frank gore and tre mason.

    I assume this is the former kicker, Gary Anderson, and not the current Wisconsin head coach, Gary Andersen.

    Really? Their fanbase has a largely impeccable reputation. Every time they're mentioned on ND boards, someone posts about how great their fans were when they visited South Bend in 2000, and my cousin, a Sparty alum, passed along similar sentiments when he visited Nebraska for their game there in (I believe) 2011. They're nice people, but the insufferableness is a function of their place in college football's current landscape. They truly believe national championship contention should be a regularity, which of course hasn't happened this century. The massive advantages that they once had - facilities, money, fan base, TV appearances, etc. are no longer exponentially better than many in P5 conferences and any advantage is mitigated by the dearth of local talent. Any yes, i'm completely disregarding when they lost to Miami in the MNC game after finishing second in the Big 12 North in like 2001 or whatever.
