  1. dear god man, he didn't say it was guaranteed "who actually could have been called"
  2. Joc Pederson is gonna win it this year unless he slumps for a whole month straight. Besides i hope none of our guys get ROY all the ones that do end up injured alot or cant play the same level as the first year (aside from B. Williams of course) someone started drinking early today
  3. be nice if hendricks could go 7 today - will require a very efficient 6th inning
  4. guys, i think I'm gonna have chicken shawarma for lunch. comes with a falafel, hummus, rice, and Jerusalem salad.
  5. is rizzo standing closer to the plate this year? unless pitchers are trying to pound rizzo inside moreso than last year, it's really bizarre how often he's getting hit
  6. is there a way to block embedded tweets and youtube videos from the display? i like the screen to remain fairly blank during the working hours, that's the one feature that was really nice from the old version. otherwise, terrific rebuild
  7. i had indian for lunch, it was fantastic but my stomach is on the verge of a volcanic eruption
  8. Chinese food in Chicago is mostly a shocking abomination for a city of that size (in both scale and fatness); while I was there I only found two places who would deliver to me or I could get to that consistently were at least OK: This place was mostly junk but it was at least edible junk, and their noodles were good as hell: http://www.lincolnparknoodlehouse.com/ This place is [expletive] amazing; it's been there for decades, it has the vibe of a sleazy Chinese mafia lounge, and the food is awesome. Sadly, it's kinda pricey, but worth trying: http://www.deesrestaurant.com/ lincoln park noodle house is my go to as well. pretty inexpensive, fast service and they're friendly. again, nothing incredible but consider me a repeat customer
  9. A few observations: Really wonder how much Mirotic will play in this series - Taj's ability to switch on ball screens and aptly defend LeBron will give him the nod. Given Butler's heavy minutes expectancy and defensive effort on LeBron, the pick and roll between Rose and Gasol might be the best way to manufacture offense if Gasol's man continues to hedge on Rose and give Pau wide open mid-range jumpers. Even though he had the big last minute shot, Jimmy was spent and lost some lift on his shots at the end. The cardinals lick cat litter
  10. Probably? I'm fine with Bryant in CF, but was kind of surprised at the lack of response to pulling one of our best hitters so Travis Wood can pinch run, and only then when it became a 3-2 count. Definitely giving him the benefit of the doubt, we'd be up in arms if this was Dusty. Maddon is that crazy old uncle.
  11. https://instagram.com/p/1lR9XKsVx6/ video of KB and his dad's extended hug... i might be crying
  12. makes sense - the beatles had a lot of hit songs, KB will have a lot of hit dongs
  13. what are the chances KB is called up by this weekend? I'm curious if they will take a similar approach with Rizzo when they kept him in Iowa for a few days past the Super 2 deadline
  14. Neither did Oscar Taveras. Too soon? I might or might not have told a drunk Cardinals fan who was jeering at Lester and referencing his dead arm that a dead arm is better than a dead outfielder. (I did do that, Cardinal fans bring the worst out of me.) omg this is incredible anyone else surprised that oscar tavares wasn't announced with the cardinals' non-starters last night?
  15. cyclONE and done, amirite
