    I talked to Jody Davis last week. Asked him about Samardzija. He said that Jeff was pitching well enough to skip Daytona and could wind up in Tenn.

    I asked Flieta on Sunday about Hill. He said he flunked his physical because of a bad back and was sent home. Flieta said it was one of the toughest things he ever had to do because he loved the kid.

    I just returned from Mesa last night. Harrington is in camp at Fitch. I believe he is working out with Tenn.

    I agree with Cubz99, Hill is a decent option for the 25th man. Let him battle it out with Pagan, Perez, and whoever for that spot.

    I wonder if Brad Wilkerson could be a future acquisition. I read somewhere that he could possibly be nontendered by the Rangers. Seems like he could be a decent option as a 4th Of and a backup 1b.

    I wonder if a package could be put together to get Peralta and Westbrook from the Tribe? Would Jones, Marshall, Izturis, Ohman and Novoa for these two and a minor lge propect make sense? There would seem to be enough money to sign Lugo with this deal.

    JD Drew is way too injury prone for my liking. With our luck, he would be on the DL most of the season.

    I count twenty pitchers and nineteen position players now under contract. If we intend to add a few players before the Nov. 20 deadline, some people will have to go here shortly. Is there a trade in the works?

    To see a triple AAA team beat our rear ends makes me sick. Our team salary is in the what? At least in the top 7-8. Heads should roll, but probably wont. This has turned into a pathetic situation.

    When checking through the minor league transactions in Baseball America, I see many players placed on the restricted list. Can someone please explain the meaning of it?

    It seems that he has put up some interesting numbers the last couple of years. Can someone tell me what he has to offer in regards to potential? Is he a future candidate for the pen?

    Dave, thanks for taking a few questions from some interested fans. I am concerned about our Latin connection. Do we have any interesting hitting prospects still in Mesa working out? Can we exspect to them in Boise or Mesa later on? Thanks again.

    I met Randy Wells parents at a game in Davenport Ia when he was playing for Lansing and was still catching. Great people. They well going to deliver his car to Lansing after that game. i think within a week after that, he was assigned to Boise. It really struck home as to the life of a minor lge player. Here today, gone tomorrow.

    I really like the set up of young catchers through out the system. It looks like they put their four best prospects at the four levels. Soto..Iowa Reyes ..Tenn. Fox ...Daytona Reed..Peoria Carter..Boise???

    There has to a way of finding who is still in Mesa on a rehab program and who fell by the wayside on the last cuts when these minor lge teams were formulated.
