    As much as I hate running in 95% of 1st downs, you can really see a Bears drive stall immediately if Mitch throws an incompletion on 1st down.

    Why are they calling play action on 3rd and goal from the 8? Jeez Although I guess if there was ever a team that would do a delayed handoff on 3rd and goal from the 8 it would be the Bears

    There's still plenty of time and young talent to make this post look stupid in a few months but it's sad how quickly this team has gone from contender to maybe fringe playoff team. They look slow and sloppy. Seabrook Keith and Toews are shells of their former selves. Ugh Somehow the Bears have become the 2nd most promising team in Chicago

    While you should definitely drop absolutely everything you are doing and mainline at least the first 6 seasons right now, it will probably never have the same impact as growing up with comedy perfection in real time. It's such a brilliant show, or was...I don't really know how else to sell it.

    This is some combination of the Bears so desperately needing a downfield threat and the Bears playbook currently being so simplistic that one can learn enough of it in 3 days to play.

    Cool with the move. Nothing wrong with Mallee but it will be nice to see if Davis can help young guys who still have room to improve like Russell and Schwarber.

    *unpopular opinion alert* I don't really hate the Dodgers other than the sting of losing to them. They look like they are having fun and I kind of want to see Kershaw win a title. Also I used to loathe Puig for years but now I think he's kind of fun. That said I think I'm rooting for the Astros I think. It's amazing how 5 years in another league quickly kills any hate for them. I mean I remember the NL Central Astros and I hate *them* but not this squad. (Note: if the Cardinals ever went to the NL I would hate them and their stupid faces forever just like the Wings)

    It reminds me of the White Sox run in 05. Not very many close games or big moments just dominant pitching and timely offense.

    Think about how incredibly awful and talent devoid our defense was when Pace, Fox and Fangio took over and where it is now.

    Of course they do, then the Cubs will have no money while only fielding five 5+ win position players to go along with several 2-4 win players. How can you win like that? our farm system will never be elite again True. There are only a finite number of good prospects assigned to each team and no variability that makes one team better at developing prospects than another. And the Cubs just wasted their allotment.

    Already down pretty far with division conference the breakers with 2 of our 3 wins against the AFC. 9-7 probably doesn't get the Bears in the playoffs if I had to take a guess. I know it's way too early but I think the Bears are only a game out of a Wild Card spot if the season ended today. But the division/conference record could definitely hurt if it gets to a tiebreaker scenario. We still have 4 division games left - 2 against the crappy Lions, 1 against the Rodgers-less Pack, and the last week of the season against Minnesota who may have nothing to play for in that game. I know it's not likely to happen but it's nice to know that it's at least a remote possibility at this point of the season. Yeah it sucks that we only have 1 win against an NFC team so far. Even if we go 6-3 the rest of the season (to get to 9-7) chances are 1-2 of those wins will be against the Bengals and/or Browns. Will 5-6 conference win us any tiebreakers? Probably not. We lost H2H over Falcons and at best are looking at .500 vs. Packers and Vikings. We do have a H2H over the Panthers that could come into play.

    You'd probably have to make Fangio the head coach right? Wasn't that why he left SF after Harbaugh left?

    I have no idea what value Martinez provides but everyone says hes awesome so I hope we keep him.
