  1. I'm just glad Kanye isn't in town =D> =D>
  2. I was waiting for this thread to be about another person named Mitch taking over a starting job somewhere. Glad I was wrong.
  3. Key to the series: Jason Heyward? Has hit a combined 19-48 with 6 XBH against Scherzer and Strasburg. .396/.434/.563/.997 in 53 PA (41 vs. Scherzer and 12 vs. Strasburg)
  4. I had the winning streak right after the break. Want to say 6 games. But I think game 1 should go to Sofa for obvious reasons http://68.media.tumblr.com/fbe757c432a4b6bf95570c250c2a2ca6/tumblr_nrnzp5khzr1qazg1so2_500.gif
  5. Very happy about that
  6. The Brewers game yesterday ended right as the Rockies game was starting. Both yesterday and today the Rockies lifted most of their regulars during the game. Both games would have been played differently if they were meaningful
  7. Scherzer's MRI came back as minor hamstring tweak. Not expected to miss anytime. Not that I root for injuries but the optimal scenario is Scherzer goes game 1, retweeks his hammy and gives up several runs trying to pitch through it and then is unavailable the rest of the series leaving Edwin Jackson lined up for a potential game 5 start
  8. If they were to do that, it would force a team that plays in Central or Eastern time zone to play a game that starts at 9 or 10 pm local time because the Dodgers and the NL WC winner will be the only 2 teams that play in Mountain or Pacific time
  9. If we were to get the D’backs in the NLCS we’d still get home field advantage since we are a division winner, right? Yep. In the WS though WC doesn't matter, it's just better record. Also Almora is awesome. Would have been funny to watch Iglesias blow another save to the Cubs in game 162 again
  10. Admit it....you kinda loved being able to make that post. I wouldn't have made a post if I didn't approve of it
  11. Crappy day in things that don't matter at all. Looking like the Cubs won't be able to stay on 69 losses, the Dodgers are about to pass the Cubs record last year, the Indians are on track to finish with a higher RD than last year's Cubs and the DBacks looking to finish 1 game ahead of the Cubs for better record.
  12. Lackey pitching in the 4th: clear sign he's made the team in the pen or a chance to get a last inning before riding into the sunset?
  13. Even better, Dusty forces a less than 100% Scherzer out there. His mechanics are off and the Cubs pound him.
  14. Speaking of... I just got an alert that Scherzer left his start today with an injury. Even if he doesn't miss the series I could see this pushing him back to game 2 or 3 meaning he can only start once in the series. Of course that just means that Strasbourg starts twice but I have a slight preference facing him twice than Max
  15. Brewers give up 3 in the 8th to completely blow their 6-0 lead and are now 3 outs from elimination
  16. If Justin wilson faced Votto 100 times, how many times would Votto walk or get HBP? 70?
  17. Kinda crazy that Schwarbs has 30 HRs but Kris doesn't
  18. Joe says that Arrieta will pitch a sim game on Wednesday, so that would lead me to believe he is lining up to start game 3 the next Monday.
  19. Only the first hit of the inning was hit hard. The rest were BABIP singles
  20. Sucks for Q, definitely didn't deserve 3 runs allowed and not being able to get out of the 5th.
  21. thats right, get all the bad BABIP luck out of the way now...
