Man I went from preaching patience and perspective to doom boner mode pretty quickly. I mean I still realize that 8 games in June is not much and the team always swoons a bit at this point, but damn not a ton to be positive about currently. -
Can we pause the season and just like breathe for a few and then maybe start over in 2-3 weeks?

I don't know about sucks, he has a solid track record. He either might not fit with this group of pitchers or possibly we haven't given him enough time to get the expected results. Or maybe these coaches have little to no control of things really happening Yeah we don't know for sure but we have the pitchers track records pre-Hickey to go off of vs. with Hickey. Of course the sample size is too small and there are other variables outside of the pitching coach.

Our walk rate is ridiculously bad as a staff. It isn't just you. Good thing we hired a pitching coach specifically not to walk people. At this point I feel like it's no longer jumping the gun to say that Hickey flat out sucks. We're leading the league in walks by a decent margin, and our rotation which was supposed to be a huge strength is a dumpster fire. I don't know about sucks, he has a solid track record. I've said this before but we hired a new pitching coach to get our pitchers to walk less people and we've walked more people. We hired a new hitting coach to help our batters improve their situational hitting and we're gotten worse while losing power. At least none of them are known racists?

Looks like this will come down to Fair Play points as it stands right now. Japan is at -4 and Senegal at -6. If I am reading this correctly, we are a second Yellow for Makino of Japan away from drawing of lots.

I’m a bit worried about the rotation. Still have time to turn it around but all 5 of them are signed for at least 2 seasons beyond this. Short of sending one or more to the pen, trading them or DFAing them we are going to war with these guys for the foreseeable future

Not to mention it was going about 200mph since our BP coach is in there lobbing 85 down the middle. Yeah it felt like BFIBB there complaining about Dexter for no real reason. That was not Heyward's fault, sheesh I don’t know it looked like he was conceding it was a HR and thus was not prepared for the deflection that ended up going right past him

Also said he was worried about having to pitch at Dodger Stadium in this series because of the booing and something about expecting the booing to be even worse if he pitches in a playoff game in this postseason. In case any one is wondering, if Sweden and Germany both win 1-0, pretty sure Mexico gets bounced based on Goals Scored between the 3 teams games against each other. GD, Goals Scored (overall), points H2H, GD H2H would all be even.
