  1. Who is closing? Chavez? Dark horse is Joe is already on his second bottle and has De la Rosa come in
  2. ??? There’s one out. And? Caratini is a primo DP candidate. Would you take that back if you knew Taylor Davis would hit next Edit: I’m a dummy
  3. Yes please hook me up with some Bote walkoff highlights
  4. Remember when Kris Bryant had a 5-5 game with 3 HR and 2 doubles and like while it was an amazing performance it wasn’t like too out of line with his standard performance? How the hell did we get to this point?
  5. this poor bullpen needs rest. Pray for a rainout this weekend
  6. Never thought I’d see the day where Wilson is bailing Carl out of jams but here we are
  7. If this follows the trend Hendricks set this is where he gives up a hit
  8. Both times Murphy faced a lefty in a big spot tonight he flailed at the ball and lifted a weak fly ball to LF
  9. Pitcher knew if he kept throwing eye high fastballs Happ would swing through one. Dammit
  10. Wyd Almora? And yay Willsons weak contact helps the Cubs
  11. Bote needs to get a PH appearance. He probably scares the horsefeathers out of the Nationals pitchers
  12. Every time I think to myself “yep the professor is back” he goes and looks shaky almost immediately after
  13. Brilliant move to walk Bryant to get to the 4 pitchers
  14. Zo is pretty much the only Cub I am comfortable with batting in those situations. Maybe Murphy too but mostly Zo
  15. It’s crazy how some poor Defenders it’s sometimes difficult to see where they cost you runs because it’s just poor range or slow reaction time. But other bad defenders you can start to count the runs that they and they alone have cost the team
  16. Gonna play read the game thread and guess the score before checking. I’m gonna guess 0-0 Edit: I was wrong!
  17. He's at a career low in ERA+ (which is bad) and a career high in WHIP. he's seemingly been trying to come back from injury all season. This will be his 4th consecutive start coming back from his latest injury. Got lit up the first game but had pretty solid 6 IP, 2 ER lines the other 2 games. This will probably be something similar to the last time we saw a Hendricks/Strasburg matchup (NLDS Game 1) where both pitchers matched 0's until the Cubs could finally break though.
  18. I've run out of ways to describe how awesome Javy is. He is God's gift to Cub fans
