  1. He was increasingly crazy in his later years....had some pretty awful takes. I don't claim to remember much of him when he was in his heyday though.
  2. If this margin holds the Cubs will have the 2nd best RD in the NL, at least temporarily
  3. Jerseys gonna love one 1 noon start in the first 7 weeks of the season and it’s in London
  4. My major concern with KB is the shoulder injury is still affecting him. From what I remember reading, there are some shoulder injuries that can linger long term. The thought was that this wasn't the case with KB but the more he struggles, the more concerned I get. FWIW Rizzo and Zobrist have started out the season struggling just as bad as KB but no one is really talking about them. I think people get more worried about KB struggles because he's supposed to be this core's super duper duper star. If he's not, the lineup is still formidable but not game breaking like we all hoped when everyone was coming up, especially because Schwarber is not the player we were hoping and Russell is human waste. Contreras and the emergency of Javy into a star (which was starting to be in doubt after 2014) have mitigated this a bit, but the bottom line is that we need superstar KB.
  5. KB would look nice in the heart of Iowa’s order
  6. I don’t know what you are guys are complaining about, this has been a pretty nice season so far. Almost certainly won’t be after tomorrow though
  7. Never thought Tiger would do it. Good stuff
  8. He's only part thick rust belt boy. He's also show choir boy who escaped rust belt home town. Based solely on his walk-up music, he’s probably the least Republican guy on the team. Not that wearing the American flag necessarily means you are republican but dude has been wearing those damn shorts in pretty much every photo I’ve ever seen where he’s not in his Cubs uniform
  9. Zobrist got more than Hendricks That was back when the moves Theo made more often than not turned out good. After he was replaced by a lookalike in June 2017 everything “Theo” does seems to backfire miserably
  10. I thought Javy would try to score on that ball that was in the dirt and blocked. It’s funny how Javy is so aggressive and almost always successful on the bases to the point where you are disappointed he doesn’t score from 3rd when the ball rolls a few feet away from the catcher.
  11. Bryant must really be in the dog house with probably 3-4 good chances to PH him and he didn’t even step on the on deck circle. Oh well, a couple of blown calls made a difference in the game. That awful strike call earlier in the game on a 3-1 count with a runner on 1st and 0 outs. The next pitch was a strike out/Caught stealing double play. The Cubs later managed to score that inning but could have had a few more. Then that call which TBH is so close it’s not ridiculously bad but since game was on the line it hurts. Blah
  12. What am I missing? The Brewers just got swept by the Angels. Whoops. Somewhere in my mind I saw a sweep and in my mind mixed up who swept who. Stupid me
  13. If the Cubs lose today it will be the first loss by an NL Central team to an LA team in 10 tries #uselessfacts
  14. 1st winning streak of the year! Have won 4 of 6 since the 6 game losing streak.
  15. This is almost as shocking as the Cubs giving Tommy horsefeathering LaStella a tribute video Hey, he was part of the best WS Game 7 exchange that was caught on camera. That deserves a 10 second tribute at least! I have Szczur has/got one for lending his underwear to the rostered Cubs players in the NLCS
  16. 14 IP, 1 ER for the Cubs starters the last 2 games. Not bad!
  17. Hey Contreras is doing well too....for now until the grind of catching almost every day for the next 4-6 weeks wears him down
