  1. He has one job: make Kris Bryant feel better about his numbers
  2. Just realized the Dodgers are in the middle of a stretch where they play 20 straight games against the NL Central, including at least 1 series against every Central team.
  3. I wish I saw this before I read it. The [expletive] was inspired by Tiger Woods win because how it made everyone forget about his transgressions or some horsefeathers. This is horrible for several reasons: 1. Addison Russell has never been or will never be Tiger horsefeathering Woods. No one is going to forget that you abused your wife repeatedly because you put up a .780 OPS 2. He still seems to think the ultimate goal is to win the public back 3. and he plans to do that by being a good baseball player. No you [expletive], the ultimate goal is to be a horsefeathering good person and treat people, especially ones that care about you, with respect. And even if it was to win over fans, being a good baseball player is never going to erase it. You are damaged goods and this will always be your legacy even if the anger fades, even if the fans soften over time and even cheer you again. You are an abuser, and not just one time, repeatedly and not just physically but psychologically too. Instead of caring about who the average fan thinks about you, maybe try to actually learn to be a better person. In private. Not just a few public displays of remorse. It's like he's trying to sound contrite but his ego shines right through and to me it seems like he absolutely still does not 'get it'
  4. Crunched https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/sporty-videos?playId=97827e99-3ca3-454d-a602-ba7a11b78ad5 Damn I got some details mixed up. I meant the 105 MPH double he hit on Saturday. With that EV and Launch angle that's a HR 90% of the time. There's your 2 bases back
  5. What are those numbers without that lazy infield pop fly that the wind (and bad defense) turned into a double? I do not feel any encouragement. .214 .353 .235 .578 I'm pretty sure in that same game he crushed one to right center that would have been a home run in ~75 of the 81 home games.
  6. DO NOT WANT
  7. Saw something interesting that the Bears had a private workout with Josh Jacobs (pretty consensus #1 RB in the draft and late first round projection). You are only allowed 30 of these workouts, and reportedly every other person they brought in had a projection of 3rd round or later. Could mean nothing ultimately but it appears that there is at least some interest in trading back into the 1st round if they can swing it. Edit: I realize this may be outdated info, I don't follow the pre-draft stuff super closely.
  8. https://twitter.com/cubs_live/status/1120481748931022848?s=21
  9. Saw on Reddit that Bote has walked off in 8.7% of his career games at Wrigley (4/46)
  10. Yelich with 2 more bombs tonight, 13 total now. On pace for 96 HRs this season
  11. Dammit I thought that was gone for Bryant. Really anxious to see him start to hit some dongs.
  12. Runs allowed in the last 6 days: Yu Darvish - 5 Rest of pitching staff - 1
  13. The good news is Chatwood starts tomorrow
  14. Mildly interesting. NL Central in 4/20/18: PIT 12-8 STL 11-8 MIL 12-9 CHC 9-8 CIN 3-16 NL Central in 4/20/19: PIT 11-6 (0.5 better) MIL 12-9 (same) STL 10-9 (1 game worse) CHC 9-9 (0.5 worse) CIN 6-12 (3.5 better)
  15. Horrific 2017-2018 offseason continues
  16. Just about nothing makes me happier than Hader blowing a game for the Brewers
  17. So nice of the DBacks to put Schwarber on so we can continue our quest to leave the most runners on base in a single game while still winning comfortably.
  18. The Brewers are getting more vaunted by the minute
  19. Not complaining because we're winning by multiple runs but 10 LOB in 4 innings is pretty wild considering the most you can leave on base in 4 innings is 12.
  20. The Cubs are lighting this dude up. On a wind neutral day they would have like 6-7 runs already.
  21. Hahaha that was awesome though if it doesnt get into the stands its at least a triple.
  22. I like this whole "pitch really well" strategy our starters have had recently
  23. When Bryant finishes with a .401 SLG% this year I'll remember that double. not every thought has to be as joyless as possible I thought I was being optimistic there
  24. I’m counting it as a double in the gap When Bryant finishes with a .401 SLG% this year I'll remember that double.
