I just realized that although the Cubs have gone 14-6 since their 1-6 start, the Cardinals have actually gained a game on them in the standings over that same time frame. Their offense will regress but they should be a formidable foe most of the season.

Loved visiting Seattle. I love a ton of stuff about Chicago as a city but visiting those places makes me realize how crappily located we are. Once you get past the city proper, the burbs are flat boring landscape and then eventually you hit cornfields as far as the eye can see. A ton more natural beauty in Seattle and the surrounding area. -

This isn’t an example of what you are saying but I do remember the Brewers blowing a bases loaded 0 out situation in like the 13th inning of a 2016 game but the Cubs ended up winning

I still don’t get excited when Bryant comes up in close and late situations. Probably because his numbers in those situations are drastically lower than normal in every year of his career except 2015
