  1. What a piece of horsefeathers. Chiefs did a really good job of collecting scumbags the last few years
  2. Albert Almora and Kris Bryant have the same number of HRs 23 games into the season
  3. I cant believe that info is not easily accessible. The Cubs broadcast has that run expectancy graphic they show so the info is out there.
  4. Wow I didn't expect to see him pulled mid-batter lol. Joe is not happy.
  5. Yeah I don't get that one. Was it close? Only close because Javy tried to get his El Mago on and almost succeeded. But the ball got there well before Javy did.
  6. I give Javy a crapload of slack in his baserunning decisions because he's earned it tenfold but I don't understand the decision to run there at all.
  7. Is it just me or have the Cubs been better at going the other way this year without Chili?
  8. Man Zo has to get an XBH at some point... 72 PA and counting so far.
  9. I'd root for the Blue Jackets except for the fact that their fans are likely all Ohio State fans. I am rooting for Panarin though (and Teuvo with the Canes)
  10. I was thinking the same. Anyone who's good defensively at SS should be even better at 2B, even more so if his only real defensive weakness is the arm. Russell should be at 2B if they're going to make us watch him at all. Purely baseball discussion: I'm not going to get too worried about it. We know Russell is a very good shortstop, we know Javy is a very good second baseman (and probably shortstop too). I get the concerns about the relative arm strength, but Russell has always gotten the job done, and, while it comes up less, it's been annoying watching Murphy/Zobrist/Descalso noodle arm the back half of a double play ball whenever that comes up. And does anyone really think this current version of Javier Baez (or any version, really) is going to let where he plays have any impact on his performance at the plate? Bigger picture discussion: Hopefully Russell gets his first payday in a sack of nickels, drops it on his foot and loses 4 toes and we never see him again. Well my thought is that Russell probably is not going to play every day. Maybe he will but if he doesn't, you'll see Javy constantly moving from 2B to SS and back because there's really no one else on the roster that can play adequate SS (unless I'm forgetting someone). I'd rather have Javy making every start at SS and let Russell/Zobrist/Descalso switch off at 2B.
  11. im pretty sure the numbers show that douchebag wife abuser was really good at 2B in 2015. If Javy is killing it at SS make Russell play whatever games he plays at 2nd
  12. Of the teams that are remaining only the Sharks and Bruins have made it to the Cup Final anytime recently Sharks 2016 Bruins 2013 Hurricanes 2006 Avalanche 2001 Stars 1999 Islanders 1984 Blues 1970 Blue Jackets Never
  13. Come on we can’t blow this one, there’s been so many feel good moments
  14. Yup, it’s so dumb to do that. Even though it’s a 1 in a million play to drop it, it’s gonna happen at some point Pretty sure I said the same thing about Soriano’s hop and Fowler’s similar catching style but I can’t remember it actually ever happening
  15. Maybe I can actually get excited about Heyward? 2 strike count against a lefty and he hits an oppo HR
  16. Holy horsefeathers Javy Buehler challenged him 3 straight times and succeeded twice
  17. Here come some massive hacks from Javy
  18. Love how we have to extend our starters to 110+ pitches because we don’t trust our pen leading to that happening
  19. Somehow in a 1st and 2nd and 2 out situation a grounder to first leads to a run scored and runners on 2nd and 3rd without any errors (i think)
  20. The vaunted Cardinals are currently much more vaunted than the Vaunted BrewersTM
  21. To ensure that sweet, sweet 40* day stretch with no off days * probably, I didn't count There are a couple of stretches where a makeup game would kill us. In June/July we have a stretch of 32 games in 33 days, but at least we have the all star break right after. In September to close out the season we have 24 games in 25 days so we could easily have a game made up on that off day and see another death march.
  22. Since the 1-6 start, the Cubs have gone 10-4 with a +35 RD
  23. Nah I like Eloy, I hope he rakes. Just Q should also rake
