  1. Haha gonna lose another series to the tigers. And they TOTALLY deserve it. Pile on some more runs and lets end the night with a negative run differential
  2. Looks like at least J-Hey is boycotting Grow some balls Cubs
  3. https://twitter.com/jareddiamond/status/1298742004617302020?s=21 And it’s official. Let’s see if this day is like the one in March, certainly heading that way
  4. Not sure what the Bears current cap situation is but FWIW, current FA RBs include: Devonta Freeman Chris Thompson Bilal Powell Isaiah Crowell Buck Allen Spencer Ware Is Freeman hurt or has he just been that bad lately? I think Powell is basically retired. Chris Thompson has mostly been used as a pass catching RB and we already have Cohen so we should be probably be looking for guys that can give us a few yards between the tackles. I guess none of it matters because the Bears line won’t be able to block for them anyways.
  5. Sucks that the Cardinals get tee off as part of their 6 games against the Royals this week after the Sox just took 2 of 3 from the Cubs over the weekend. Cardinals have played 14 games in 11 days and are about to go 9-5 during that stretch.
  6. Guess the Cubs offense took a 1 day break from sucking yesterday
  7. The last time he was in a playoff game, minor leaguer Kris Bryant was sitting behind the plate watching
  8. Agreed, I didn’t mind using him there and he got the job done. Chatwood pitched 1.1 IP, allowed 8 of the 12 batters he faced to reach, and somehow only gave up 2 runs ERA over their last 4 starts: Chatwood: 6.06 Quintana: 12.51 (In case anyone takes me seriously, this post is factual but was made in jest)
  9. Agreed, I didn’t mind using him there and he got the job done. Chatwood pitched 1.1 IP, allowed 8 of the 12 batters he faced to reach, and somehow only gave up 2 runs
  10. Chatwood has made 4 starts this year. In half of them he pitched at least 6 innings and gave up 1 or 0 runs. His season ERA is 6.06
  11. This was like the worst of both worlds start for Tyler. He got hit hard, and then he started walking everyone. What a disaster
  12. 10 ER in the last 3.1 IP for Chatwood. 36 pitch 1st. It initially looked like everyone in the questionable back end of the rotation stepped up. Now it looks like no one has stepped up.
  13. Ugh and now Javy...blasts a 2 run homer. That’s more like it
  14. And now Javy forgets how many outs there are. I wonder if there is something going on in his personal life. This is not him right now
  15. Jesus Javy wtf was that? Inexcusable I know Javy deserves more rope on the basepaths than anyone in baseball but that seemed reckless even by his standards
  16. I don’t think reverting back to 2014 Javy is the best strategy before FA
  17. At the very least, we won the Cease game and Eloy had a chance in a key spot and couldn’t get it done. In general I wish them both well but I wouldn’t have been able to stomach more discussion about the Quintana trade this week
  18. lol the White Sox literally scored every single one of their 18 runs this series via HRs. Not sustainable. They faced a great pitcher and had several opportunities where they needed a big hit and couldn’t get it
  19. Thank God. I was ready to be livid at Happ lol
  20. Of course the pen comes in and walks 4 in 1.2 IP so far
  21. Have you every seen a more “3 true outcome” pitcher than Craig Kimbrel this year?
  22. 7 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 10 K Season ERA down to 1.70 That’ll play Yu. This might be the best he’s ever pitched.
