It's interesting seeing the teams that were most active around the deadline. Teams like the Yankees, White Sox, Twins, Dodgers, A's, Astros made almost no moves. The teams that made the most are teams like the Jays, Reds, Padres, Phillies and Cubs. Outside of the Cubs, they are all teams that haven't made the playoffs in awhile and/or are fighting just to get in rather than trying to improve for the postseason. Which makes sense...teams like the Dodgers don't want to invest in rentals when they could be out of the playoffs in 2 games. But a team like the Jays wants to take advantage of a unique year to get in when they probably werent going to compete in a normal season.
