I didn’t see this posted anywhere. I think this can easily be taken out of context as I’m sure Theo/Jed floated many numbers to Boras just not in a formal offer. Why make a formal offer when you are so far off. What I do think is interesting is Kris still talking about this and being a bit disingenuous (if my assumption is right) in an attempt to make the Cubs look like the bad guy. I’m not saying Kris is the bad guy. There doesn’t have to be a bad guy here (except Ricketts).

Obviously wins and losses don’t matter this year but I wonder how much the FO is evaluating Ross during these games and how well players develop until his leadership -

If you can ignore the part where he only gets excited when the Sox do something good it’s almost a time machine. Also, Len does a lot of TV games for a guy who was desperate to be a radio announcer. Also Sox winning 2-0 and Rodon is mopping up the Iowa Cubs

I don’t know how Happ got so bad. Like I know Hendricks is throwing 97 up there and just threw 2 breaking pitches but his bat was sooooo slow on that strikeout

This is by numerous metrics Hendricks' worst season since he was a rookie. Granted, he's had really good stretches this year but the numbers are not there and he'd have to go on a tear to be in consideration.

Sounds like Wims is having a bad day. Fields threw a pick intended for Wims which reporters are saying was a miscommunication between Fields and Wims (could have been Fields fault too of course). Then Fields threw a perfect dime for Wims in the end zone and he dropped it a la the playoff game last year.

I would guess top 4 team in the East. Butler gets a lot of what you get from DeRozan offensively (imo) but is monumentally better defensively (or at least was when he was on the Bulls, I assume its still good). Bulls would still have depth issues but would be pretty solid imo.

Hook it directly to my veins. I'm all in. Not nervous at all. I've never seen a great QB on the Bears and I've been burned so many times that I should be very wary because the QB position can be unpredictable at times. But I feel so unbelievably confident that he's going to be great. He just seems to have all the tools and the intangibles.

This kind of sucks if the FO was hoping to get any value out of a S&T for Lauri. Believe the Hornets were one of like 2-3 teams that had enough cap space to sign Lauri outright. They have no obligation to work out a S&T unless AKME somehow makes the Hornets believe that they might match, which seems like a stretch

Why wouldnt you give young arms a chance to start during all these meaningless games we have? If someone is losing a rotation spot at this point its gotta be Jake. That said, they may choose to shut down Alzolay to preserve his innings thrown this year.

This is definitely not the horsefeathers I've read about any other Bears QB. I also read that some camp goers caught him alone running up and down hills 20 minutes after practice was over. Sure a lot of this is just fluff but I don't care, I'll read this horsefeathers all day.
