So Yankees win means I can watch game 1 in its entirety. Game 2 starting at 4:09 AM local time is gonna be rough though!

I was pretty chill Game 1 and 2. Today with the early lead I started getting nervous because advancing to the NLDS and facing the Brewers started to feel real.

My 9 year olds were watching with me. One of them is like my clone and sure enough at the end he was saying “they’re gonna blow it” repeatedly. 😂

This is why I was questioning why Craig pitched Rea in Game 2 with the Cubs down 3 runs late and the bats doing nothing. Obviously the focus is always first on winning and advancing but I think it would have been a calculated risk to pitch someone else and have Rea completely fresh for Game 1 (or if needed Game 3 today). As it is, he threw 15 pitches plus his warmup, probably equates to his bullpen day essentially.

I dunno if pitching him on short rest is ideal considering his signs of wear and tear and the fact that he’s pitched over 100 innings more than he has in any of the last 3 seasons.

They want all 4 division series starting on the same day so they can have a quadruple header. I guess the NL gets the day off between games this year. Works for me to give our arms a rest
