  1. And that is the first run that Castillo has allowed this season in 2.5 starts.
  2. I have only watched a bit of this....2 questions: -Why have they been talking non-stop about baseball rules changes and the effects they have had for like the last 2 innings? Who is the 3rd man in the booth? -The new lighting at Wrigley looks NOTICABLY better. It almost looks like a day game out there.
  3. Someone, maybe it was you, convinced me Torrens is good as an average hitting option for a catcher, which I still wasn't sold on but whatever. But then seeing him in the lineup with Barnhart or Gomes also in the game was dumbfounding. He's not a good hitter, he's an adequate hitter for a catcher on a team that has 2 weaker hitting catchers.
  4. Our old friend TLS is back at Wrigley!
  5. Yikes...that's scary and awful
  6. I'm assuming taking up a roster spot from someone who may be able to play adequate RF as TT posted that right after Mancini misplayed a ball that led to 2 runs scoring. He either made a bad break on what could have been an out or attempted to dive for a ball that was clearly going to be a single and it got by him allowing a 2nd run to score (1 would have scored if he played it cleanly as a single)
  7. Guessing this confirms Whitehair to Center? (or just cut I guess)
  8. What are the odds of the Hawks getting at least a top 2 pick finishing worst and second worst? If the odds were less than let’s say 33%, then I’d probably take a guaranteed 2nd overall.
  9. Another error leads to a run. Very error prone weekend for both teams
  10. Umps have seemed horsefeathering terrible so far this year. Nico got screwed out of 2 balls in this AB which forced him into swinging into a ball outside and grounding into a double play. BS
  11. Damn Rios! Easy power off that bat
  12. Not sure if we ever created a Ohtani FA thread yet but I’ll use this to give some relatively baseless speculation: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2023/04/09/diamondbacks-changing-game-aggressive-style/11630921002/
  13. Well the cubs are being good guys and allowing us to enjoy our Easter. 4-0 Rangers A 3B without much 3B experience makes a bad play. A RF who doesn’t play a ton of RF makes a bad break on a ball.
  14. Well that was an unfortunate 2 run error edit: guess they are going to make 1 of the runners back on 3rd. wtf was Madrigal doing though?
  15. My sister went to school there for 2 years before transferring to Florida. I guess they both have good OT schools but Florida doesn’t get a crapload of snow
  16. Lmao I know the Nats aren’t competing this year but Carl is their closer? I wish him nothing but the best but that’s crazy
  17. Just realized the Cubs are last in baseball with 4 home runs so far this year. Can’t even remember all 4 HR. Happ hit one, Wisdom hit one, Bellinger hit one. Can’t remember the 4th. Also 28th in total bases. The team with the most HR so far are the Rays with 18. It’s like we’re playing different sports lol edit: also I realize the Cubs have played 1-2 games less than everyone team except the Reds
  18. The Rangers have given the Cubs 2 extra outs today, so the umps are just evening it back up
