  1. lmao, with the bases loaded and 1 out with the Cubs up by a run, Leiter throws 5 straight balls and still gets out of the inning. That is horsefeathers hilarious.
  2. Did the entire team just decide that throwing strikes is stupid?
  3. 3rd time in the last 6 appearances he's walked 2 guys. Dude scares me in high leverage situations.
  4. Fulmer is clearly not a high leverage pitcher this season. I know we don't have a ton of great options but come on.
  5. Fulmer pitching the 8th inning of a 1 run game the Cubs have to win is a thing thats happening. Edit: and of course he walks the leadoff man.
  6. 3rd time in Merryweather's last 4 outings that he's given up runs and 4th time in last 7 ERA of 10.29 over his last 7 appearances.
  7. Willson crushing the Cubs is the least predictable thing ever. Now 10-25 with an OPS over 1.000 against the Cubs this season.
  8. Glad I got all my Mastrobuoni mocking out of the way on Twitter before he started actually doing stuff.
  9. That's just the way the industry is headed. The money MLB gets from Apple/Peakcock/ESPN is enough to not worry about pissing off fans. The good days of streaming services are long gone, just have to ride the wave of capitalism.
  10. I never looked at his savant numbers. He has the lowest hard hit% in his career by a decent amount, and is in the bottom 10% of the league. 16% percentile in EV, 19% percentile on barrel%, below average in most of the expected numbers. Interesting, though I don't think the Cubs ever really planned on extending Bellinger anyways.
  11. That sounds like a direct attack on me
  12. Mancini starting his 6th straight game. So far in the first 5 games he is 3-15 with 0 XBH, 1 BB, 0 RBI during a stretch where the Cubs have scored 45 runs.
  13. It's funny, I've known about PSD for years but never really visited. What you said about PSD is exactly what my experience has been like for NSBB over the last 20 years. It's kind of like that default site I go to when I am browsing the internet. We've had to get used to the new format too having gone through a massive board overhaul a few months ago. Now we can get used to it together. Also trust me, you won't have to worry about a lot of overagreeing or anything here. Posters here are not afraid to disagree with each other and do frequently. It can get a little heated at times but rarely toxic. Probably because a big portion of the board has been arguing with each other for 10+ years.
  14. Any chance Wainwright is starting each of the other 3 games this series?
  15. We used to have a mod that was called 1908 I'm pretty sure. No relation?
  16. Kind of crazy looking at the schedule that the Cubs only have to leave Chicago 1 time for 4 games between July 10th and August 6th. They had the ASB followed by their longest homestand of the year, followed by a road trip to the South side and then St. Louis for 4 games (their only time leaving town), then a 7 game homestand.
  17. Lots of clammoring to trade for him last week. Would be funny if we traded for him after his team crushed what little bit was left of the Cubs playoff hopes.
  18. If we lose by 1, we'll have gone 2-5 against the Nationals this year with a +10 RD
  19. Really not sure how Merryweather ended up as our 8th inning guy. Watch those 2 straight singles dunked into CF kill us. Yep we're tied. Wish Tauchman didnt TOOTBLAN now.
  20. I thought everyone agreed to never trade with the Rays
