Wouldn't it be funny if they got Dubois, Jody Gerut and Matt Lawton? BTW, its pretty amazing how those trades turned out. We had such high hopes for Dubois, but him and Gerut did not even play in 2006, and Lawton played only 11 games in 2006.

Well he was largely responsible for their 3 losses, although the only game he actually *lost* for them was the Pats game. -
If the Bulls would have won, they would have risen to sole possession of the #1 seed, 1/2 game ahead of Detroit. But since they lost, they dropped percentage points behind Cleveland in third in the division, and the 5th seed overall.

thats the stupidest thing i ever heard in my life i want to die right now, what a hell of a game. Well, how do you defend against a team who hires a 4th grader to draw up plays from the playground? Exactly, as I was saying last night, no disrespect to Boise State, but sandbox football isn't exactly going to win the respect of the nation. Beyond the two big trick plays, pretty much every play they ran in OT was unconventional. If Boise State were to play Oklahoma today again, I would bet that a lot of those trick plays would be stomped. Sure sounds like disrespect to BSU to me. Trick plays are part of football, if your team isn't prepared to handle things besides buttonhooks and sweeps, then you weren't prepared to begin with. Possibly, but it wasn't just those 2 plays. Almost every play in OT was of the trick variety. To me it seemed like the Boise State offense was flat out vanquished by the OU defense, and pretty much the only choice Boise State had left was to resort to school yard football plays. It worked, and they deserve credit for that. But trick plays only work when the defense isn't suspecting them, basically why they are a last resort for offensive efficiency

I'll run down my picks: Eagles over Giants 28-17 Cowboys over Seahawks 24-21 Colts over Chiefs 38-28 Patriots over Jets 17-13 Bears over Cowboys 19-17 Saints over Eagles 27-17 Chargers over Patriots 30-21 Colts over Ravens 24-23 Saints over Bears 21-17 Chargers over Colts 36-33 Chargers over Saints 27-13 I am probably wayyyy off. I wanted to pick the Ravens, because everyone was picking the Chargers. But then everyone started to pick the Ravens, so now I'm going back. I didn't really want to pick the Saints into the SB, but I think its going to be pretty hard to win a playoff game in that dome, and I just in my heart don't see the Bears going to the Super Bowl.

Again, with our defense playing the way it is, the "Orton Plan" might not be very realistic. What Ron Turner needs to do these next 2 weeks is figure out how to not FREAK OUT when the team gets behind by a score. Just about every time we are down, he starts calling for bombs down the field. The thing about the defense and the difference between the first 8 games and now is the D-Line, not as much the secondary (although the secondary is a huge concern). With Tommie Harris out, the Bears have had significant trouble pressuring the QB. Thus, they must blitz. When they blitz, they use the linebackers, causing the short pass to be extremely vaunerable. Thus the huge success of the slant route. When the short passes are exploited, the safeties must cheat, and the deep pass is exposed. Everything goes downhill when you can't pressure the QB with your D-Line alone. But then again, I kinda believe Lovie didn't change his game plan to protect slant routes and short passes on purpose. Part of me wants to believe that, like the preseason, he is pulling the wool over everyones eyes, and once the playoffs start, the team will look crisp again. -
I'll be in I guess...I feel responsible when the Cubs lose when I make a game thread though.
