How the hell are we only a game out of first?
  2. UMFan83
Are the Tigers 0-5 in their last 5 games that count!?!?!?!?!?!!?

How do you guys feel about Geo Soto's performance today? I feel like he's been very quiet and almost forgotten in the Cubs lineup. He struggled in the Spring, but looked alright today drawing 2 walks.
  4. UMFan83
You really have a negative impression of Cub fans don't you?

Looks like we'll be good to go: http://blogs.trb.com/news/weather/weblog/wgnweather/FEA033108MON.jpg Skilling says highs around 65, and the most severe rain not until after 6pm. This was just updated within the last few hours

    ZIMMERMAN! Great fantasy pickup

Is it just me or does this park look just as gigantic as RFK? I can't see there being a lot more offense here than RFK...

I'm thinking we're not playing baseball tomorrow, guys and gals... :( We'll play man, just relax!

No matter what your perception was of how Fukodome handled lefties in spring training (and I think it may be a bit flawed) there is NO WAY the Cubs are having Fukodome platoon with any one. He isn't talking about things that the Cubs would actually do. He's talking about things that they SHOULD do.

That was awesome. I was waiting for Bush to flick the crowd off. That would have been even better.

we're giving this thread a final day it will never forget! All you're doing is speeding up the process of getting this thread locked.

Some photos from today's practice at Wrigley: Kosuke is wondering what he got himself into: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/rids/20080330/i/r4277765746.jpg Guess he got used to it after awhile: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/rids/20080330/i/r39470222.jpg Either Z is well layered or he is getting a bit pudgy: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/rids/20080330/i/r874667831.jpg Obviously these pictures were taken from a Japanese news outlet. All Kosuke all the time: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/rids/20080330/i/r70160697.jpg The last time the Cubs played at Wrigley, for game 3 of the NLDS, it was over 80 degrees: http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/rids/20080330/i/r1165458830.jpg

    What is this Cubs.com?
  14. UMFan83
You guys are killing the last day of this thread. But I do applaud your efforts to get this to page 400.

I'm going to miss this joke..
  16. UMFan83
It's not ugly, its just got New Comiskey Park syndrome. Meaning, the retro ballpark design has lost its luster and originality.

Welcome to the last day of this threads existance.

:x NL MOY = NL Man of the Year given to him by the rest of the league for single handedly removing the Reds from any sort of contention
  19. UMFan83
DeRosa? Is Brian Roberts hurt or something? (sorry, I had to) Go Cobs!
  20. UMFan83
So is that Reed Johnson that led off and homered for the Cubs today?

Just wanted to let everyone know that Cubs.com has released additional tickets for Opening Day on Monday. I was able to pull up 2 and 4 tickets to a bunch of different sections, including 100 level seats and 400 level seats.

I think what I am going to do is take a half day Monday and leave work at like 11. If it gets rained out, I will take a half day again the next day. Previously, I was planning on taking a full day off and being at the bar by 9am.

Says the guy with a Northwestern logo staring at me, I gotta run Wisconsin is playing their Sweet 16 game right now. And now NU and UW both have nothing to look forward to. Except baseball :)
  24. UMFan83
You'll be fine. More and more Brewers fans show up at Wrigley every year and its not a big deal. Just don't be a jerk if the Brewers win, and if a Cubs fan instigates you, play it cool. Remember that you are technically in enemy territory.
