I wish somehow Z could come in and pitch the bottom of the inning. Dammit Chase is up third and you know he's going to be itching to make up for that error. -
HOLY CRAP!!!!! I DIDNT EXPECT THAT?!!!!
-
Is Fontenot still available? Sportsline says he is, but I could have sworn he pinch hit at some point. If so, why the hell is Z batting here?
-
Gee, I wonder why they are pitching around Soto.
-
Just like they say. The only time a sac bunt is smart is when theres runners on first and second with 0 outs and you are playing for one run.
-
I'd rather have the bottom of the order up. You know why? Instead of having my best hitters up there with the game on the line, I'd rather have my worst players give up a precious out so more bad hitters can try to drive them in.
-
I would think Rich Hill will be coming in this inning with all the lefties coming up for the Phillies.
-
Lee saves the game..
-
Where was that pitch on 0-1??
-
Shouldn't Kerry be keeping the ball low to get a ground ball? Just sayin'
-
Dammit Kerry.
-
This is why Fukudome should be a number 2 hitter. He hasn't shown me enough power to make me believe he should be driving home the first 4 hitters in the order.
-
OK Fuk, no IF singles, we need a gapper from you.
-
Ramirez wth? You are awful right now... If only our big three got hot at the same time..
-
Pat Burrell walkoff anyone?
-
Imagine how good he will be when he's 39 and still playing for us? The guy already has regressed. How has he regressed? His OPS last year was the second best of his career. He was just never close to $18m good to begin with. He banked off a career season and the Cubs were dumb enough to give him both money and years. Why couldn't we have just gotten Beltran 2 years prior? Also, Soriano didn't sprint to that ball because he would have no chance of catching it even if he did sprint.
-
If this thing went to extras, who do we have to pitch? Lieber has to be out of the question, Hart too Rich Hill and Bob Howry?
-
This is why bunting is stupid in this situation
-
Guess that makes up for Soto's check swing hit.
-
Ugh, wasted opportunity. At least we tied. Top of the order due up for the Phils. By any grace of God do we make it out of this inning alive?
-
Ugh, turing a 3-0 count into a K..
-
Is there a reason why Kerry Wood looks like the only person ready to come into the game?
-
Pat thinks Ronny saw the opportunity and went on his own. If so that is absolutely moronic. With 5 outs to go in the game down by 1, I wouldn't want Ricky Henderson himself taking third, much less Ronny Cedeno. Guy has no brains. At least it worked out....
-
Someone had to screw up there. Did Ronny mistake a hit and run?
-
OMG!
