  1. Ahh yes, the more Marlins that beat us in 2003 the better. Why couldn't we have targeted Miguel Cabrera and Josh Beckett instead of Juan Pierre and Luis Castillo. Well I guess we did get that Lee character but still.
  2. The way I look at it is if the Cubs were to make it to the World Series (hahahaha yeah right), some enterprising Rockies fan would surely buy my ticket and sell it to me for even more than I would be getting for a Rockies World Series ticket. It's capitalism and I don't feel bad for doing it.
  3. It's not "fear for your life and belongings" status as long as you stay on major streets. During Bulls games there is a lot of police presence and its not really that bad at all. The neighborhood is actually improving. There is a college and high school nearby and of course the Medical Center to the south. And yes, take Mark's advise and park near Moretti's.
  4. how much are they face value? $250 a piece. For some reason, right at 1:00, I got through about 50 times. And I got through 3-4 times for tickets but none of them could process but finally got 4 of them after I lost hope. It took forever.
  5. I got 4 tickets in section 236 for game 3. OMG on stub hub they are going for $2,500 a ticket!

  7. Bump. Anyone trying today? Anyone used this type of ticket buying system and have any idea how it works? Any tips or tricks?
  8. Not that I believe this, but contrary to popular belief, this might be bad news for the Bulls. I don't think the Bulls really want to tamper with their team at this point, and I think if the Lakers had to accept less than 100% for Kobe the Knicks would be a great pick to swoop in and get him.
  9. Boo Josh Beckett. I hope his arm falls off while pitching this one.
  10. They are not very good fans. IIRC they had their home opener blacked out this season.
  11. LONG LIVE ROCKY WIRTZ!!! Finally, a strong start to the season coupled with an opportunity to generate excitement via actually showing home games on TV. Hockey is BACK in Chicago!
  12. Capitalism at its finest.
  13. There wasn't a hold or a tackle. Fred Miller got his arm around the defender like it was going to be a hold, but he never got a grip. And while Miller did spin him a bit, the defender never went down to the ground. If he had, there likely would have been a flag thrown. lol..just re-watched it myself...it wasn't even remotely close to a hold. How do you explain this quote in the Trib:
  14. Red Sox in 5 and I will hate every moment.
  15. Why are the Packers going to play USC this weekend?
  16. Lots of paralells to 2003....One team with a long championship drought up 3-1, Beckett starting game 5....OK those are the only paralells, but still
  17. Why don't you ask about it in the Insiders forum? Because if you think about it, PMs are even more exclusive. Only you and the person you are writing with can see it.
  18. Being in a exclusive forum with Roast =/ cool Well, there's the problem then. You guys are talking about a different forum than any I know.
  19. Misery loves companies; trixies love chads
  20. We swept them in Wrigley when we were red hot and they were streaky. I think they were in the middle of a long losing streak when we played them. One of the games was the game where we were up 7-2 in the 9th and they scored 6 runs and then we score 2. Either way, nice sweep. In Coors, although we took the first 2 games, we were in the middle of a bad stretch of baseball, and I never really thought we were outplaying them all that much. Eventually the Rockies came back and took the next 2 in convincing fashion. One was a Rich Hill blowup, and the other was a solid 9 inning victory. Either way, I have no doubt that we'd get blown out in 4-5 games if we played them right now.
  21. Eww. I think someone is a little jealous of all the success New England teams have had lately. Well yeah we are fans of Chicago teams
  22. Tim Wakefield is on, now can everyone shut up about starting Beckett tonight. Everyone assumed that they would lose if they pitched Wake (which they surely still can), but no one talked about how much of a boost it would be if Wake won (against their 4th starter) and they had Josh Beckett pitch on full rest in game 4 with the series tied at 2
  23. I'd wager it's a near certainty that one already exists. ?? I have Premium and I see no "Premium-only Forum"
