  1. My current boss was asked to join the rotoworld staff after strong finishes in Fantasy Basketball and Fantasy Baseball contests on ESPN.com, but he declined. He's definitely not a Cubs fan.
  2. So he's like the anti-Gorzelanny? Hopefully the Cubs can get a huge lead in this game so that Lou is not tempted to use Marmol.
  3. I don't think he'd be quite as effective as a starter. Look at all the movement on his pitches. He would have to conserve that stuff as a starter. I don't know I could be wrong. The only thing that hurt him in 06 was his control.
  4. Because its a 3 run lead, Marmol has been used the last 2 days, and Lou was hoping he could trust another reliever to pitch in these situations and still have Marmol available tomorrow
  5. Wow Lou trusts someone other than Marmol in this situation?
  6. I was thinking about what Len and Bob had to say about putting out the worst lineup possible. This is what I came out with: Cedeno, SS Fontenot, 2B Ward, 1B DeRosa, 3B Edmonds, CF Hoffpauir, RF Blanco, C Johnson, LF Marquis, P I bet this team could win some games if given a shot.
  7. Just the guy you need up in this situation. Someone who can have a good AB.
  8. The Jim Edmonds like-o-meter might go down with that AB.
  9. Nobody is taking a pitcher out up 3-2 in the 5th with 1st and 2nd and an out. He's a DP away from getting out of it. How would the great Dusty handle this one? Bring in yesterday's starter, having pitched 125 pitches the night before, in to pitch the rest of the game.
  10. Stupid Astros padding that flukey RISP average statistic
  11. What are the chances the Cubs trade for a number 2 starter in July?
  12. I just don't look optimistically towards October knowing that Lilly is our number 2 starter going up against the Harens and Maines of the world
  13. This happens to CFers when a ball has spin and slice on it. Sweet. He's definatley a Cub now. He did what Edmonds does. Bourn probably catches that standing under it. Bad angle+no speed=omg what defense!!!111! And lol @ Bob even thinking that was anywhere close to as good as the Johnson catch. What a joke. What's up your butt? It would have been a difficult play for any CFer. I don't like Edmonds at all, but not to call it a great catch is slow-minded. You know if Jim Edmonds signed with the Reds and made that catch, you would be saying the same things.
  14. Lee is 2 for his last 29 (7 games) .069/.100/.103/.203
  15. Geez, pay attention to the runner Lilly. Wow.
  16. YEAH!!!! Len's call throughout that was awesome.
