  1. geovany soto I meant with today's lineup.
  2. You know for the first time since he's been out, I am kinda missing Soriano. First on the plate at the plate last inning, I have no doubt the runner would have been gunned out. Now as far as power threats, other than Lee and Ramirez, who do we have? Fukudome has almost no power, DeRosa and Blanco have sporatic power, Cedeno the book is still out.
  3. Why the hell does Ted Lilly throw an 0-2 pitch over the heart of the plate to a notoriously free swinging Pena? Seriously what the hell is he thinking? We better not lose 2-3 to the worst team in baseball with our supposed top 3 pitchers throwing.
  4. I'm going to laugh when one outlandish draft grader gives the Bears an F because they failed to pick a QB. I don't blame the Bears for not drafting one with the lot thats out there. Is this safety meant to be a replacement for Chris Harris, who was I think a 6th round pick, who was traded for a 5th round pick?
  5. Yay i bet we get some solid value with our what six 7th round picks
  6. Are you high on Beekman? I know he had injury issues early in the season, but I think he was healty at the end of the season, and with all the problems the O-line had, he didn't receive one lick of playing time. That says a lot to me.
  7. So is the Bears OLine next year going to be.... Tait Garza Kreutz Metcalf Williams Oof
  8. I have a feeling the Nats put together a 3 run inning just to wake everyone up.
  9. I had to go back to 2006 to find the last time Adam Dunn had 7 K's in 2 combined games. And Geo's not generally a high strikeout guy.
  10. Geo needs an offday tomorrow big time.
  11. That's quite a stretch. Could be a couple pitchers who have the stuff to exploit him and have made their pitches over two days. Maybe he's not picking the ball up well with the new field's batter's eye. Maybe he's doing it to throw us off the trail that he's really a cyborg, it could be a lot of different things. Wait wait wait. Did I miss the memo where THINKING was a sign on MENTAL weakness? Overthinking could be.

No I agree to an extent. He just looks like he's trying too hard to outthink the pitcher. On that last AB, he had a 3-1 count and took 2 breaking pitches over the plate. Looks like a guy who is trying to guess. Also, I should mention how Lou mentioned earlier that his somewhat slow start at the plate was effecting his defense during the first week of the season, or something like that.
  13. Geez, you'd think this game thread was from September 2006.

  16. Didn't look all that great in that AB
  17. 0-6 6Ks for Soto this series. He's completely overthinking each pitch and pressing too much in his ABs. It's a sign of being mentally weak. I hope I'm wrong.
  18. They said the same thing about David Terrell too. Except Terrell was picked in the top 10, Manningham would be in the third round. Right, but I had to get a jab at Michigan WR's in there somewhere. Packers on the clock. Come on Martellus Bennett. If you're going to rip on Michigan WRs, at least find a recent one...like Braylon Edwards. Wow Brohm.

  20. Anyone think Mario Manningham might be a nice 2nd day pick for the Bears? I realize his combine wasn't great, and the marijuana thing didn't help him, but he might be the most explosive 2nd day receiver.
