  1. Wow, an amazing catch to rob the Brewers of a couple of runs.
  2. lol, call out the 1 guy who provided offense for the Cubs today.
  3. Wellemeyer just walked in a run
  4. And the heart of the order goes down yet again. Your 3-4-5 hitters should all have OBP's over .350, so at least one of them should get on.
  5. Kinda hard to do that leading off.
  6. In fact, they should do it every time up
  7. 5-3 DP for the Cardinals. Now runner on 2nd 2 outs.
  8. Soriano just didn't want to be on second base any longer.
  9. Prior and Wood are both on the DL and the Cubs are losing. Is this 2006?
  10. Hanley's one of the best players in the NL. Doesn't change the fact that the cubs have beat the Marlins 4 times during their entire existence And 3 of them were during the NLCS, setting up the ultimate failure
  11. I don't think Z is well. Perhaps another DL stint?
  12. Did that look like it hit the base of the basket and bounce down or is it just me
  13. I think there might be something wrong with Sheets. Like I said he was very hittable his last start, and he hasn't started out great this start. The man is allowed to give up a run or two, but when I see 9 hits in his last start in only 5 innings, you have to wonder if hes slumping, if hes going through dead arm, or if hes hurt.
  14. The Cubs have been having some depressing first innings lately.
  15. C'mon Soriano, if you are going to be a leadoff hitter, at least work the count a little with your first AB of the game.
  16. Z you cannot walk a hitter with a .288 OBP
  17. Arm angle experts, what do you got so far?
  18. Not good. Each inning like this lessens my hopes that he will contribute to the team this year.
  19. Sheets was very hittable his last start 5 IP 9 H 4 R only 3 K. I wonder if his velocity was down at all or if it was just because he started the All Star game and threw 2 innings.
  20. Lance Berkman had a 1.409 OPS in May of 2008 Alfonso Soriano had a 1.249 OPS in July of 2006 And whoever said that when you hit HRs en masse you are usually not taking a lot of pitches might be onto something as the months I've found are usually not the month that they hit the most HRs
