  1. LOL NSBB is funny today. I don't get the negativity in here one bit. Remember: Game Threads have to do with the individual AB, not the game or season. In his last AB Edmonds grounded out with a runner on first in a tie game in the 9th... so yeah, right now he sucks. Fixed
  2. If Edmonds gets the run in here, I will buy him a cut off shirt.
  3. Please just don't bat Kosuke anywhere near the first 6 spots in the lineup anymore Lou
  4. Weird....last inning McClellan comes in sporting a .310 BAA vs. RHBs and 4 righties coming up. This inning Perez comes in with a .264 BAA vs. LHBs and 2 lefties coming up (with a righty in the middle)
  5. Why are the Cubs allowing stolen bases in key situations?
  6. Better than Pujols-Ludwick-Glaus. True, I'd rather him Pujols taking 4 pitch walks than Cesar though.
  7. Fudge...if Ceasar's patience and running ability beat us....
  8. Not a big fan of having Jeff pitch in this situation
  9. Do what you did in the first game in Milwaukee Derrek
  10. It sucks when Soriano gets out to lead off the inning and then you realize you have Theriot and Lee coming up Edit: Whoops go Riot
  11. Ugh is he having Zambrano syndrome and getting too amped up?
  12. Wait, so you're telling me the Cubs score more runs in wins than they do in losses? Shocking, I tell you. The Cubs are 12-8 since the All-Star Break. That is what's important. Yup but there are several ways you can analyze how they are losing. They have been slightly inconsistent offensively.
  13. Runs scored in losses since the ASB: 1 1 0 2 2 2 0 Runs scored in wins since the ASB: 9 10 6 9 6 7 7 11 5 8 11 11
  14. So I guess this is one of our "offense isn't going to show up days" Otherwise we'd have 4-5 runs by now. We have been losing these games since the ASB.
  15. God you are embarassing yourself Plesac by suggesting that this is the best offense he's seen since the late-90's Yankees. You better be careful if you are going to make statements like that.
  16. Again, Matsui had a .780ish OPS his first season in the states and hasn't been under .850 since. Not saying its the exact same thing, but Fukudome was a really good hitter in Japan and has shown flashes of awesomeness over here. People are acting like he's been downright awful this entire season. It's hard to say something like 'give him another year', but considering we have him under contract for another 3 years, that's what we'll have to do. Let's not boo him out of town like we do all our other players that fail to immediately live up to expectations.
  17. This is why baseball is my favorite sport, always full of surprises. Surprise! Joe Mather
