  1. If he's great, how come he hasn't adjusted at the plate this year? He's had the same approach at the plate all season long. I would assume its hard to completely overhaul your swing during the season, especially with all the other distractions of moving to a new country. I know its an excuse, but I think giving Kosuke an entire offseason to remake himself could do wonders. As people are saying, Kosuke obviously has talent and ability. He's a good ballplayer, he just hasn't made enough adjustments to the American game.
  2. "Calm down all you did was run around the bases successfully"
  3. The playoff bullpen will be Wood Marmol Cotts Marshall Gaudin Marquis/Wuertz/Samardjiza
  4. +1 -1 I want to celebrate in Wrigleyville tonight, plus half the Cubs fans out there won't be able to see them clinch if its on FOX with the blackouts
  5. Where does the 10-9 Rockies game fit in? :) Yeah thats one of the ones I know we got back. I just put more of a direct correlation to this game and the Brewers game in May because it was same team, same venue, same type of victory/loss. In my mind, we are even now for that one.
  6. Oh noes, isnt that also our odds to blow the division???
  7. He's not kidding either. That's the Starbucks I frequent. One day I went in with my GF and they told me he was literally in the store 30 seconds earlier. Though there have been ups and downs, I am so happy Ryan Dempster is/was a Cub.
  8. Just wanted to say...I have a list mentally of games that I think we should have won this year. I realize we win some games that we should have lost and vice versa, every team does. But I can never get over those losses. Here are the 5 I have 1. Soriano's dropped fly ball vs. Pittsburgh 2. Kerry blowing a 4-2 lead against the Brewers 3. Kerry blowing a 4-2 lead against the Cardinals 4. Cubs losing 9-7 in 12 to the Astros after hitting into like 5 DPs 5. Kerry blowing a 3-1 lead against the Reds Well today's game makes up for number 2 on my list
  9. Z you set the bar high, but I expect a no hitter tomorrow. Also, not to knock the game thread, but on this board we either call say (Z!) or now we can use (Mr. No-No) in the title
  10. I've seen way too many 0-2 meatballs to feel comfortable here
  11. You need to walk Kendall here. He will not strike out, and the Brewers will try to score on a grounder. Set up for the DP Edit: oh I thought it was an out at first
  12. Wood hates the number 2 He can't save 2 run leads He catch pitch for a 2nd inning.
  13. He's so powerful he could have easily bunted it over the 3B's head
  14. Wood still. Yay he surprised me by not coming into the game :)
  15. Carlos Marmol pitching for Chicago J Kendall grounded out to second. R Weeks struck out looking. M Cameron struck out looking. Seth McClung pitching for Milwaukee R Johnson struck out swinging. A Soriano struck out looking. R Theriot struck out swinging. Kerry Wood pitching for Chicago R Durham struck out looking. R Braun struck out looking. P Fielder struck out swinging. Seth McClung pitching for Milwaukee D Lee struck out swinging.
  16. He's been figured out. Now he needs to adjust. Or get better. He did fine today, and came in with a 2.35 ERA. DeRosa booted a routine ground ball... nothing is wrong with him. His ERA is misleading as he's left the game with runners on quite a bit.
