Sorry, I just can't get on the Edmonds bandwgn enough to seriously consider an Edmonds jersey shirt. I don't think I'll even like Edmonds that much after he leaves the Cubs. For now though, he's alright. I definitely appreciate all he's done.

I don't see Hill or Hoffpauir having much of a use in the playoffs. Can you see Lou going to Hoff in any situation in October with his veteran Ward, and possibly Jim Edmonds or Fontenot on the bench? If you can't, then he's not a viable position player to utilize a playoff spot. Oh, and I don't care how badly Ward has played, he's a lock. -
I'm going to love when the Astros go to the grave saying that Bud's decision ruined their season, yet its the fixation on the fact that those games were moved to Milwaukee that distracted the Astros and likely ultimately ruined their season. Way to handle adversity. Sack up and play ball guys.

Again, I'd be stunned if Lou goes with 10 pitchers. Do you mean that 10 pitchers is too much or too little? He went with 11 last year. Too little. I don't see any way Lou doesn't go with 11 pitchers, especially if he takes Marquis. It makes sense as long as there is 11 viable pitchers. I don't think there's 15 viable position players. -

Looking at the schedules, I think that AL Central is going to come down to the White Sox replaying that game vs. Detroit My prediction: Sox: 2/3 @ KC 1/3 @ MIN 1/3 vs. CLE Min: 1/3 @ TB 2/3 vs. CWS 2/3 vs. KC That leaves the Sox up 1/2 game. They will play a Detroit team with nothing to lose on Monday after the season, and if they lose will play in Chicago vs. Minnesota for the division crown on Tuesday with the playoffs starting for the winner on Wednesday.
