  1. It looks like the AL is getting the higher priority in the scheduling. Its probably because the ALCS is on TBS so TBS wants to give the AL teams better exposure to increase their ratings for the ALCS.
  2. I know...I'm debating on whether I should take a weekend in the middle of next week or just take 2 half days. But if its a half day I'd be leaving at 12, and wouldn't get to Wrigleyville on time.

  4. Makes sense with his hand. I'd hope he can play in 2 of the last 6 games and PH in another
  5. I'd hold off. Last year the ticket prices went down after starting out extremely high.
  6. The first time I almost cried as a Cubs fan.
  7. You can absolutely guarantee that Reed Johnson will be hitting in a prominent spot in the order tonight.... CUBS VS. 8. I hear ya, but its worth the shot. Because if this works then it just confirms my suspicion that as long as you have a winning password then you can buy tickets. This way I will know if it's worth my time to register a plethora of NLCS emails so that I can get tickets for that series and then (fingers crossed) the World Series. My ex-girlfriend is from New York and her dad is a huge Yankees fan so back in February when the Mets had their ticket lottery for premium games i.e. Yankees/Opening Day/Last game at Shea, I bought a password from a guy on ebay and was able to get Mets/Yankees tickets doing this. I used the print-at-home feature and the tickets were good and valid. I'm definitely praying that this works for the Cubs as well. If it does, then it certainly will be beneficial for all of us on the board to create multiple email addresses for the NLCS registration. I'm pretty sure the scalpers do this anyways. Please keep me up to date
  9. I will let you know in a few days. I bought a password off of craigslist this morning and then bought tickets. I selected 'fed-ex shipping' so if they arrive in my mailbox I will certainly inform everyone. Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for the password?
  10. And tickets are officially on sale. Please depress me by letting me know which tickets you winners got!
  11. Lets just wait until next Wednesday
  12. I still haven't gotten an email either way. Do you think its worth my time to call them and see whats up? Who knows I might have gotten selected and there was a processing error
  13. Passwords are selling for upwards of $400 on eBay. Mind you, you still have to buy the actual tickets in addition to that $400 cost. Last year after ticket prices started out really high, they fell as it came closer to game time. If I am able to find a pair somewhere in the park for $200 I'll bite.
  14. While I agree with this... the Reds are going to be very very scary around 2010/2011. :banghead: Yea, I know it's said every year... but seriously look at their team. Bruce/Volquez/Votto/Phillips All great talent to build a team around... if they get a decent GM they will do this. Hope they move Harang in the offseason, I'm surprised they didn't trade him at the deadline regardless of his bad numbers on his horrible team. But seriously, look at their team, Ryan Freel, Austin Kearns, Adam Dunn, Wily Mo Pena, Aaron Harang, Ryan Wagner
  15. When I was looking for tickets last year I pulled up tickets in the 100 level
  16. Now there are tears....I didn't even get a rejection email. It's like the Cubs just completely forgot about me :(
  17. Yes, 11.11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111% of a ticket. lol, but you know a lot of other teams do things like that. If they are truly trying to make sure fans that really want to be there are there, thats the first thing I'd think of. I think the Cubs perspective is that they think they are being nice by still letting you buy that ticket package. Additionally, they already only sell 7,500 per playoff game, so they probably figure from a PR standpoint they need to offer as many to the general public as they can. But most importantly, other teams don't have season ticket waiting lists like the cubs do. They offer playoff priority as an incentive to get people to buy seasons or packages of tickets. Cubs don't have to do that. I hate the Cubs...you're right they don't give a damn about the individual fan. Or maybe I'm just bitter.
  18. Cubs win! W - Some stupid Joe Schmo that heard all his friends talking about Cubs playoff tickets and decided he was going to root for the Cubs and sign up for the lottery. L - Me Save - Wrigleyville bars that I can frequent and spend just as much money with booze. Oh wait this isn't the playoff ticket thread.
  19. C'mon Marmol we don't need you to melt down right now.
  20. Yes, 11.11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111% of a ticket. lol, but you know a lot of other teams do things like that. If they are truly trying to make sure fans that really want to be there are there, thats the first thing I'd think of.
  21. I bought a 9 game plan, shouldn't I be entitled to some sort of ticket offer?
  22. If this is true, and what Jon said earlier was true, then I'm out of luck...no email yet.
